Another exciting installment in this legal thriller series
This third book has Sasha McCandless keeping busy in her solo practice. Sheβs recently lured a former legal assistant from her former employer, so she has a little help around the office. It does come as a surprise, however, when that firm asks her to represent the husband of one of their partners β Ellen Mortenson β when he is accused of killing her. Now, Sasha has never had a criminal defense case, but that doesnβt seem to matter. In a crazy twist, she soon finds herself with another client after yet another female partner in the firm has been murdered. Dubbed the Lady Lawyer Killers, both men proclaim their innocence and Sasha is determined to find out the truth.Again, this was fast-paced with a good story line that keeps the reader guessing even though we have some inside information. Sasha always has just the right connections to find people who can help her do what needs to be done. I really enjoy all the legal details and descriptions as well. The characters are all a little flawed which makes them relatable and interesting. I am looking forward to reading the next installment.

IRRETRIEVABLY BROKEN (Sasha McCandless/Book 3)
Since the last case(s) in Springport, PA. Sasha McCandless has returned to her private practice in Pittsburgh, PA. Naya has come to work for Sasha as her legal assistant. Better still, they now had a coffee station with free coffee for them and their clients! Will Volner, from Prescott & Talbott (Sasha and Naya had worked at P&T), comes to Sasha with a case that the firm wants to hire her for. A partner P&T, Ellen Mortenson has been murdered. Her husband has been arrested for the murder. The firm does not believe that Greg Lang murdered his wife. Since Ellen was a partner, the firm cannot represent him -- but, they want Sasha to take the case. They would post bail for him -- and pay her a $300,000.00 retainer. Sasha is suspicious and does not understand why they want HER to take the case, she never takes criminal or divorce cases. Will assures her that he believes she CAN help Greg, if anyone can. Soon, there is another murder under seemingly similar, yet somewhat different circumstances. This time, another partner at P&T, Clarissa Costopolous is murdered -- and HER husband is arrested for her murder. Now Sasha is representing TWO clients who have been accused of murdering their wives. There are more similarities uncovered that link these murders. Sasha has to unravel the clues and represent her clients to the best of her ability.Soon, these cases are taking all of Sasha's time which leaves her no time to work on her personal life with Leo Connelly at a time when he really needs her.I have to admit that the end of this book really shocked AND surprised me. I did not see this ending coming, it was so well written! I am definitely hooked on this series and the characters. These are some of the best legal thrillers out there, in my humble opinion. I have read a lot of books in my life, but I am very new to writing reviews. This book has it all -- a page-turning, legal thriller that leaves you wanting to rush to the next book as soon as you get to the end. I am so glad I bought this series. Ms. Miller is one of my current favourite authors (I do not compare authors to one another because they all have their own strengths and weaknesses)... I highly recommend that if you want a good legal thriller series, give this one a shot!

Hmmmmm almost put it down
Again I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 for reasons that may be spoilers so if u don't like spoilers, don't read this review. I really like this author's writing but with her education I would expect nothing less than a well thought out and well written book. Problem number one for me is that I still felt as if I was in a Civil Procedure class and I understand her desire to describe every minute detail of the legal process but give your readers some credit for understanding what they are reading. The second problem is my biggest pet peeve of all, and that is that Leo just expects Sasha to uproot her existence, away from family and a practice that is beginning to thrive to follow him in his new endeavor. That is just wrong. Leo knew what and who he was getting involved with and why he would take a job in another state and expect that of her is just ridiculous. Leo proposes the 'long distance relationship' to solve part of the problem but he can't even see the importance of the demand of her clients in a emergency situation, how is he going to do long distance? I assume the author will work it out as I have read the intro to the next book but it has left a bad feeling in me and frankly is not consistent with the characterization of the Leo the author was trying to get her readers to know. I also know from experience that it takes a great deal of understanding to be married to a lawyer who is dedicated but knowing that going in is the KEY (and honestly at that point I almost put the book down). That being said I again had most of the plot figured out so I confess I did skim parts of the book bc I knew where it was going already but I also find myself not being able to shut it down at night.

Irretrievably Broken (Sasha McCandless Legal Thriller Book 3)
You can not help but like and root for this pint size feisty Sasha. Two female lawyer's from Sasha's former law firm are murdered and their husband's are charged with their murder. Sasha receives a retainer fee from her old firm to represent them. What is the motive for the killings, this is what you need to read and find out. Also there is a surprising twist to the ending.

Brilliant - as usual in the series
Apparently random killings of female lawyers lead to her old firm asking Sasha to take on the cases of the husbands accused of the murders. Needless to say whilst Sasha investigates more and more strange things come to light. And even after two successful court appearances all is nor as it seems. Absolutely great book.

Another great one
This time around Sasha is persuaded to take on the defense of an a man accused of his wife's murder. And her relationship with Leo Connelly is getting complicated. With too little sleep, too much coffee and having to use her Krav Maga skills once again, Sasha of course gets there in the end.

Brilliant Author
Am working my way through this series as I have discovered an new author I love! Mellissa Miller keeps her books filled with action & suspense without filling them with unnecessary swearing & vulgarity. This is not chick lit I would recommend to both men & women.

Superb read
Fantastic book - despite the ending. Glad the next novella sorted it out. The law certainly is an ass, at times!

Fast paced enjoyable legal thriller
Third book in the series featuring Sasha McCandless. Fast paced legal thriller with some interesting twists not quite as good as #2 but still an enjoyable read.
