This kit was easy to use. We repaired a couple basketballs successfully. One other Evo continued leaking after the valve replacement. Disappointed because those balls are expensive! Not the valve’s fault though. Worth trying the kit. Especially with the included tools.

I got this to repair a volleyball with a leaking valve. Instructions are not provided with the package, so you may want to print/download the instructions from the online product photos. The removal tool took a couple of tries but cleanly pulled out the old valve. I found the inside of the valve to be a little slippery for the hook to grab hold of, but appreciated that the hook wasn't so sharp as to slice the valve into small pieces. I delated the ball a little extra so that I could also push the old valve from behind as I pulled with the hook. The replacement valves are all prelubricated to make replacement easier and to provide a better seal. I managed to push one side of the valve in with the rounded side of the hook. I gave the new valve a spin within the hole to make sure it was seated fully and pumped it up. The ball holds air without any leaks, so no complaints.

This took me less than 10 minutes total to repair an old ball I had. I’m glad they had a quick video on how to quickly remove and reinstall the valve. No longer have issues of leakage. The rubber had a good seal. From the valve. Came with a crochet needle. I already had a needle, nose, plier, and a side clipper. Good price and value for money. I have another ball that I am going to replace valve so the family will be ready for spring and summer.

It took about five minutes to change the valve. I verified the old valve was leaking by putting the ball in water. Bubbles were coming only out of the valve, nowhere else. The tool they supplied was fine for removing the old valve. I used a pair of needle nose pliers to put in the new valve, which was a little difficult, but still took only about a minute. It has to be coaxed into place. After in place, the valve protruded about 1/8". I expected that, since the new one is about 1/8" longer than the old one. I just cut that off with a razor blade. I checked it again in water, and there were no bubbles! A similar replacement basketball (Wilson Evolution) costs about $80 now, so this cheap, easy fix means I didn't need a new ball (though I got a new one anyway!)

Poor quality. The valves are too short and keep sinking in. Also, they leave a gap on the perimeter that releases air. Waste of money.

Worked and fit great on my 2018 World cup ball that i almost gave up on! Used to leak air from valve and now retains air perfectly. Just need to cut off the excess material. It is a bit difficult to put the new valve in. I used the tool it came with and pushed one side really hard until in went in. You do need to use quite a bit of force. Happy with the product 😁

These replacement valves are soft and seem to hold air so far. However they are not precision molded compared to the Tachikara factory replacement valves. The pull-out tool included is not worth the effort. I resorted to using a long thin needle nose. Actually two needle nose pliers work best to pull out old valves. I needed these fast otherwise I would buy direct from Tachikara.

I have 2 Tachikari volleyballs where the valves dried up and became brittle rendering these expensive balls useless. I also had a needle break in a Wilson leather basketball. This kit helped bring new life and saved me $175 from replacing the balls. Using the enclosed pick/hook, the old valves pulled out. The brittle ones snapped off and a small piece is still inside the balls. I've tried techniques from using a 9/32 socket and dish detergent. Deflating and inflating the balls before inserting a valve. NI've tried using a mallet and inverting the socket upside down like a lollypop. None of these methods work for me no matter how much force I use.. One of the tricks for me to insert the replacement valve is to using a small tip plier to squeeze the big part of the valve and push down at the same time. Surprisingly the valves popped in very easily. I was able to insert the 3 valves in a few minutes. 2 white ones for the volleyballs and one for the basketball. All were 3mm stems. The final step is to use a sharp razor blade to cut the excess rubber stem so it sits flush with the ball cover. One of my best learnings as a volunteer sports equipment manager for my kid's middle school.

Did exactly what it was meant to do. 2 month later still keeps air in the ball.

Mit zwei kleinen Spitzzangen habe ich das alte Ventil ziemlich leicht ausbauen können. Dann habe ich, wie im YouTube Video empfohlen, das Ventil mit Rasierschaum benetzt und dann in den Ball geschoben. Mit dem beigefügten Werkzeug ließ sich das Ventil mit wenigen Handgriffen im Ball einbauen. Den Überstand habe ich mit einem sehr scharfen Messer abgeschnitten. Der Ball ist jetzt dicht und ich sehr froh, dass ich ziemlich kosteneffizient den Ball reparieren konnte.

I bought this ball valve kit to change my leaking soccer ball valve. I have a soccer ball that would deflate after a week. I had another soccer ball which was more expansive than my current soccer ball, that I try to fix but ending up destroyed. If I had this tool kit I would have still have my expansive soccer ball now. It makes the job easy changing the valve. I don’t regret purchasing the tool kit. It is value for my money.
