This is the cutest straw dispenser. I was expecting plastic straws but these are cardboard. It didn't matter to me, lends to the nostalgic look and feel. LOVE IT!

I looked at quite a few straw containers/dispensers before buying this one. I admit, the inclusion of some paper straws helped me narrow it down once I found a few that I liked the look of. I purchased 300 paper straws that looked like these buy themselves awhile back and those seem to hold up longer in liquid than the ones that come with the dispenser to, but I'm still happy to have these straws too, and they are fine, just not as long lasting as the others.The dispenser is typical in design for what it is, just be sure not to lift the lid too high or you'll spill all of the straws! It's a clever design that has been around for eons though and if you lift it too high just once and lose your straws, you'll probably never make that mistake again :)I would have minded finding a simple design like this in tempered glass, but this acrylic one is nice looking and I'm not rough on things so there's no reason it shouldn't be around for years serving up paper straws. If you're looking for a simple straw dispenser and having some paper straws thrown in would be a nice bonus, choose this one!

When I started using paper straws I wanted an easy to use dispenser. This item is light but sturdy and is a great replica of the old fashion soda counter dispensers. Great product.

its to narrow at the base it was unstable I had on a marble counter top was way to wobbly !!

Decided to buy this because it sucks to come home after spending countless minutes deciding what to order from the drive thru menu board only to have to slurp my sugary drink like an animal.Straws are paper but next trip to the Dollar Tree I will pick up a pack plastic ones and hope they end up in a landfill instead of some endangered sea turtle’s nose.

This thing does indeed hold straws. The top screw for the handle thing comes a little loose at times, but it’s not that big of a deal.
