Tough 1 Rope Halter/Side Pull Combo

Looks pretty good, has sturdy hardware and great price. But it'll have to be adjusted to be a useable and safe sidepull. I bought this because of the o rings to use as a sidepull and it failed that. I pulled back on the reins and the noseband slid so far up his face it almost touched in his eyes. And it slid up to his eye when turning. I also had it slip completely over my horse's nose when he pulled back while leading him with the reins. Not ideal. That was all in the first time I tried it, I haven't used it since.It was not low on his nose. The o ring at the bottom allows the rope to move more and slide up to his eye. I'll try to adjust the noseband but it looks like it's gonna be a pain in the ass. I already cut the tie rope so I can't return it.It'd probably be an OK halter for an experienced horse.

I really love these rope halters. They are so easy to put on and take off, and with the side pulls, I use them to swim with the horses in the lake. My horse has an average/large QH head. This halter was a little big on him. They are adjustable, but I had a good 2ft of extra cord. So I would say it would fit a draft as well. For your dainty Arabs, you might look for a size down, because I feel like the nose is a tad bit large, and there’s no easy way to adjust the nose since it’s tied there.

Very happy with this type halter. I have an old one and was hoping to find another, which I did.I also like the D- rings so you can easily cross tie and even clip your reins on and ride with the halter.

The rope was much thicker than on most rope halters I've seen. Arrived with tears in the rope also. Returned. Very disappointed.

Tie/adjustable rope was too long so I trimmed it down

I wish I could give this negative stars. Unless you are a boyscout knot tying expert this halter is useless.

Seems like it’s made to fit a draft horse. Even when adjusted (which takes time to make smaller and you basically need to redo the entire thing), it still slides around. Not something I’d purchase again, better off just clipping reins to your regular halter. This will spends the rest of its life hanging on a hook in barn, where it belongs.

Thought the hook attachment would be easier than tying the knot each time, but it's not really. I'll stick with the regular style ones
