This Takes a Charge and Works Great!
There has been a bad batch of this particular battery model, genuine and direct from factory. The batteries wouldn't take a charge or would start to charge and quit. These have been difficult to find, have been out of stock in most camera stores. Was very glad to find this one and the fact that it works as it should. Thank you for having it available. Fast shipping, easy transaction.

I've owned 3 of these and they all died in under a year
I have always been willing to pay a little more Nikon official products because of their reliability and durability. There is something wrong with these batteries. The one that came with my Z9 died withing six months. I purchased a replacement and it died after about a year. I also purchased one more and it died last month. I'm not a professional photographer so they didn't get heavy heavy use for days and weeks and months on end. In all three cases they would not charge in an official Nikon charger (I've bought two of them under the theory that it was the charger.) I don't know what to say about this except its three strikes and you're out. The 3rd party Wasabi batteries on the other hand have not failed.

Terrific Batteries
I've never bought off brand batteries for my camera gear. And I've never been disappointed with genuine Nikon products including these battered. The EN battery series has been as reliable as gmt clock. I've not had one issue with any of the EN batteries from the d1 to now the z9. They're worth the dough and sometimes you can find them discounted. They're expensive but worth it.

Long lasting
Yes it is expensive but worth every penny. Battery life is not an issue. On an empty pack, it'll fully charge in 3.5 hrs. I used a Nikon en el18c and an aftermarket counterpart on a previous system and over time the Nikon simply lasted longer. I doubt any aftermarket en el18d battery that comes out will outlast and outperform this battery over a period of time.

It’s the real deal from Nikon
I ordered this so that I would have a second battery for my Z9 when I am out shooting. It’s identical to the one that came with the camera and has worked great for me to be able to swap in the field from one battery to the next. I purchased a second cover, so they’re both swappable in seconds without having to change the cover from one battery to another

Nikon EN-EL18D Battery was DOA
I was watching the EN-EL18D battery for a while and when the price dipped down to $94 the order was placed. The Nikon “18D” battery, date code 2022 05 (May 2022), arrived two days later and was dead as a door nail out of the box. Battery terminal voltage was measured at less than 2 millivolts. That’s 0.002 V which is very close to 0 V. The battery voltage was so low, the camera didn’t even recognize its presence when connected. The battery would not take a charge. I have to wonder if other batteries from this lot, same 2022 05 date code, are also bad. Why the sudden, and significant, temporary price drop? $149 down to $94.

Another Expensive but Good Nikon Battery
The battery has good reserve power. The price is too much.

Typical Nikon
Well made Nikon product with a typical Nikon inflated price.
