I was a little worried about irritation because it did irritate some peoples skin, but it made my skin slightly ruddy for about 5 minutes and then the redness went away. Most of the redness was probably from rubbing in the first place. It is a basic mud mask that dries on your skin and is removed with a wet or damp wash cloth. The first time I used it I noticed a little tingling but not when using a second or third time. Would recommend you do a patch test on your inner arm by the wrist as if there is an allergy or reaction to this formula you will only have it on your wrist and not all over your face. I will definately buy again. Comes with a little spatula to spread the mud on your face.
