Great device, save the Escape
TINY keyboard perfect for on the go. Love that it connects right when you open it, and the typing is almost perfect. The major downside for me is the escape key hidden under the Fn layer. Would much rather have that than the tilde on the default layout. The micro usb isn’t super great, but that’s minor honestly. Perfect otherwise. B+

An Office In Your Hand
I have used a number of Blue Tooth keyboards. Generic ones purchased on the Internet for as low as $14 to Logitech keyboards for $50 and up. I believe that “less is more” so I do not carry an iPad and an iPhone. I use my iPhone paired with a Blue Tooth keyboard so I don’t have an extra device in my Every Day Carry. If you carry an iPad already maybe this review is not for you, but if you want to carry the minimum for writing that still does an excellent job read on…The Targus is small, only a little wider than a Pro-Max iPhone, and not quite as tall. It is thin, just a little wider than your iPhone without a protective case. It has no on/off switch like the Logitech. You turn it on by opening it up. It is light; about the weight of your phone device without a protective case. The Targus is goof-proof when pairing. It “latches” onto your iPhone with ease. The Ergonomic layout takes a bit to get used to, if you already have a keyboard you are using that is not ergonomic. Your hands are spread in a slightly different way. The trick I use is not to look at the keyboard when typing, but just let your fingers find the correct keys. If you are already a “touch-typer” you’ll find the transition easy. Easy to carry, easy to recharge, the Targus is in my Every Day Carry bag permanently. It has a one-year warranty, but I am willing to bet that if not abused, it will last years longer. It does not come with a case, but I found a small padded sleeve that works well to protect the keyboard while aboard in my bag. You might consider doing the same. Great Performance, Great Build Quality, Easy to Use, are just some of the things that make the Targus, an everyday companion.

Compact, solid, and comfortable
I purchased this to connect to my phone for spontaneous writing, emails, and journaling. This keyboard is really fun to use, as odd as that is to say. It encourages me to write more because of how portable, comfortable, and easy it is to use. I type for 20 minutes at a time and each keystroke registers. It is the perfect companion for writing drafts. Praise: Folds in half and secures magnetically. Folding closed turns the keyboard off. Connects very quickly to THREE devices. Holds a charge for a long time The keys are comfortable and quiet, with just enough travel. The case even flattens at the space bar buttons to be able to press them with your thumbs without the case getting in the way. Ergonomic! Fits the angles of the hands and wrists well Lightweight, but feels durable Large left/right keys When I saw the pictures, I thought the hinge might be the first thing to wear out, but it’s thick and doesn’t feel flimsy. Supports all the function keys for Apple devices. Inconveniences: Battery life is good, however the indicator is limited: green, yellow, red. It’s hard to plan whether I need to bring a charger. Uses a USB micro port for charging. I would rather have a USB-C port Number buttons are small, as is the backspace I’m used to the function key in the bottom left corner None of the inconveniences ruin the device and I plan to use this daily for writing into the future. I also looked into the “Freewrite” devices, however they are very expensive compared to this keyboard and are not as portable for writing drafts while connected to your phone.

Died within a year
I bought this January of 2024. I used it a couple times, recharged it, but then didn't end up using it for a couple months. Now that I want to use it again it doesn't turn on anymore. Recharging it doesn't do anything. It just keeps flashing the red indicator light while it's plugged in and immediately dies when disconnected. It holds no charge anymore. While "charging" it won't work as a keyboard. The keyboard itself is great. I like the layout and the portability, but the fact that I can't rely on it to work after left in the drawer for a while means it's very unreliable. The fact there is no good battery indicator either makes battery management a huge problem. The day it drains too much it turns into a paperweight. Unless you use this frequently and charge it regularly, I can't recommend it.

Compact and ergonomic
There are lots of foldable keyboards on the market and I have tried two. The Targus is an excellent choice. It does have an ergonomic split design that takes a little getting used to. However, the keys work beautifully and the device is sturdy. This is a rechargeable device and you can connect up to three other devices via Bluetooth. I am principally using the keyboard when needed for typing on my iPhone and mini iPad. Switching between them is a snap. There are lots of function keys. The foldable design is excellent, leaving you with a small package when closed to store in a bag. This does not come with a trackpad. I have purchased a Logitech mini mouse for when I might want that feature. However, I have rarely needed to use it.

LOVE this keyboard
I've compared a few portable BT keyboards and this is my favorite. RELIABLE - long battery life, and not glitchy. Pairs fast, and no BT dropouts or key sticks, so no typos unless they are my own fault! Super compact, which makes it so easy to slip into a bag and make life easier when you're out and about. This is not a 'put it on your lap' keyboard unless you place it on a book or clipboard or something. There is lo way to 'lock it open' so it would just fold up if it's not on a flat surface. I have a different keyboard that folds up, from a different manufacturer. The locking part is helpful but everything else sucks in comparison to this Targus; sticking keys, unreliable BT connection. My hope is that Targus will make one that locks flat. If so, I will add it to my stable - but would definitely continue to use and love this one too, without a doubt. Thank you, Targus, for this great product.

Lightweight and good battery
#Ad My original laptop keyboard stopped connecting directly so I had to opt for an alternative Bluetooth keyboard. I had blown through 2-3 wireless keyboards before coming across this one so it’s safe to say I know what I’m looking for. What was important to me? -Size: It had to be slim enough to fit into my case which is already quite snug. This would make it easy for me to keep up with the portable ‘work station setup.’ - Battery life: my old keyboards would die within one days use and have to be charged during lunchtime. This one can last at least 36 hours or a whole day or two of work. - And the best feature is the split space bar so that you have access on both the left and right side! - The bonus for me is that this keyboard folds up and I don’t worry about it scratching my tablet or laptop. It’s also made with antimicrobial materials which is a great feature for someone who is constantly one the go in different locations reducing bacterial buildup between cleanings. I give it a 9/10 as there is some room for improvement. Maybe it could include a toggle mouse on the next update? Or include a battery level indicator? I’m also curious to see if this could be paired with a smart tv as I’ve seen people use larger Bluetooth keyboards to browse on their tvs. . . . . @targus @targuscanada #targus #targuspartner #laptopaccessories #tabletaccessories #bluetooth #antimicrobial #keyboard #paidreview #honestreview

comfortable and very portable
I purchased this on recommendation from my daughter. I was a little skeptical about the angled design, but I found it surprisingly easy to use. Every keyboard has a different feel, but I was able to adapt to this one easily. I'm an experienced 10-key typer, but if you're a hunt & peck typer I would imagine you'd get along with the keyboard just fine. It folds up very compactly, and I can put it easily into the compartment on the inside cover of the 3-ring binders that we get from Staples, a coat pocket, or into a small space in a backpack. It may fit into a men's pants pocket, but I would advise against that because it would probably break from the bending or if it was sat on. The hinge is a flexible material, not just thin plastic, and it seems to me that it will be durable. My daughter has been using hers for some time and there's no sign of wear on the bend.

Easy to use on the go, saves a lot of time.
This little gadget has been fantastic. Long text convos or emails are much quicker and easier with this little keyboard. It folds and tucks away easily. When its folded, it automatically shuts connection with the phone. Open it and it quickly reconnects, making it seamless to choose which functions best suited for the keyboard. Only draw back I can think of is you need a pretty flat surface to use it. However something as simple as a newspaper or book, even a backpack can work fine.

Very easy to recommend this product
I just bought this keyboard and it’s exactly what I need for portable and pack safe with no worries. It’s a solid little keyboard you can even use it on your lap and type the ergonomics of the device is a very nice bonus very comfortable to type on. Highly recommend this product and you can hook up 3 devices. iPad and cell no issues at all switching is very simple press of a button. Update on this (Like it so much just bought another one as a gift for my daughter) If I had know this was so comfortable to type on I would never have wasted the money on those keyboard cases for the iPad. Using this and a mouse fantastic and so portable. Highly recommended purchase you won’t regret it.

Fantastic ergonomic mobile keyboard (if you can get used to it)
Foldable keyboards tend to be so tiny, they are very uncomfortable to type on for more than 5 mins, coz your wrist is bent at such an acute angle, even more so than a standard keyboard. As an ergonomic keyboard user for more than 15 years, I was elated when I found someone finally makes an ergonomic foldable keyboard! I use this on my Android phone, iPad and Windows tablet. It supports 3 profiles so you can switch between your devices easily using the hotkeys. The typing experience is way better than other small foldable keyboards because your wrist is not bent at such a big angle and the keys are 1.4mm tall/wide with a 3mm spacing between keys. This allows me to type for more than 15 mins at a reasonable WPM before becoming uncomfortable. If you really need to type for even longer, try lifting the keyboard up with a thin book. The only hurdle for most people is getting used to an ergo keyboard. Once you're used to it and can type at your normal WPM, it's very hard to go back to a straight keyboard especially if you need to do a ton of typing everyday. Battery life is very good because it uses very little battery (no touchpad) and it's still very compact. The only minor con is it uses micro-USB-B for charging.
