🎶 Elevate Your Jam Sessions with the Purple Storm Fuzz!
The JOYOJF-320 Purple Storm Fuzz is a mini electric guitar effects pedal designed to deliver high-quality fuzz tones. With a 1M input impedance and 10K output impedance, it ensures optimal sound quality. The pedal operates on an 18mA running current and requires a 9V DC adapter (not included), making it a perfect addition to any guitarist's setup.

So that's the difference...
The first pedal I ever got was a Joyo Ultimate Drive overdrive pedal and it's a bit extreme and sounds bad (too distorted?) at higher settings. This one is much more mellow. It still gives you that heavy crunch distortion as one would expect from a fuzz pedal but it doesn't buzz or hum and can be tuned to give you a little or a lot of fuzz. Granted, it's not the Metalhead pedal (also excellent) but if you're looking for something to give a bit of flavor without going super heavy, this is a darn fine choice without breaking the bank.

A fan of the ironman series pedals but this one gets tooooo fuzzy for me to the point where the notes become unclear and super muddy. I recommend the electro harmonic octavix fuzz

Underwhelming
Doesn’t really add anything to the pedal chain. Kind of a primitive effect.

bender'ish fuzzy goodness
could this be a sub $100 tonebender clone? in researching this pedal i've come across different descriptions that describe the pedal "It makes use of a triode transistor to get the distortion sound" and "Classic Fuzz Reproduce 60's MKIV MK2". triode transistor...like 3 transistors? like a tonebender? mkIV, mkII...like a tonebender? i put this up against my havalina to do a side by side comparison.the havalina - bright and borderline 'fizzy'. mid frequencies are forward. best played with the tone control WAY down (barely on).the purple storm - thick. mid frequencies are forward. best played with the bias and fuzz past noon.the purple storm (detailed) - the sound of the purple storm can match the havalina if you keep the tone control on the havalina down (just barely on). the purple storm also sounds slightly 'thicker' and somewhat 'lo-fi' compared to the havalina (which sounds 'brilliant'/'hi-fi'). the BIAS on the purple storm sounds like it adds hair, and slightly adjusts the freq response of the fuzz (subtle). below noon, the sounds is more overdrive-ish. noon and above it's definitely fuzz. the FUZZ control sounds best above noon, as any setting below sounds like overdrive. VOLUME is volume, and unity is about 1-2 o'clock. the sound is mid focused (not scooped like a fuzz face or big muff), thick, and can get raunchy, but retains control at maxed settings.overall, a great pedal. i wish it came in a full size format. the first one i received was a dud (had a bad hum/noise problem), but the replacement was fine.
