I had the old lock for 5 years on my dock box. If I didn't drop the old one in the water I would still be using it. It just needs a little WD-40 once a year.

This particular stainless steel silver body embossed Brinks padlock is beautiful. I cannot find a way not to return it. The shackle is too short. Brinks has padlocks with longer shackles and matt gold tone brass bodies. If a 33mm shackle is what you need buy this beautiful padlock. The online images are misleading. The lock is smaller than travel size nail polish. This is a good padlock for a bicycle chain.

Medium sized lock. Good weather resistance. Perfect for securing a gate that takes a beating from the elements.

I've been looking for a lock that will last down at the dock in Dana Point. This is it. Solid construction and just the right size! Thanks Brinks!

This is NOT solid stainless steel or marine grade at all. Rusted solid in a few months. I bought 2 - I will send a picture of this useless item. BUYER BEWARE

Nice enough padlock however was unable to get an extra key made - the ACE hardware store didn't have a thin enough key blank for copying and when I called the 800 number listed for warranty info ... After speaking with a nice woman (how lovely not to get a phone menu system to start), Dan told me that even though the package says "commercial" on it, the lock in question (via item number 672-40811) is really a home item with minimum security - "low grade" lock for a not-so-low price - and that key blanks were not available for it. Two keys is not enough for my purpose, so bummer.
