Very cute, bigger and better made than expected

Got super excited that I got this for a discount from a steals and deals Facebook group promo code. I was very excited about it until I got it and realized the gnome on the back was completely broken off. I thought about just gluing it but the fiancé told me to just get an exchange. So I did and upon taking the new one out, it made a rattling noise like something was broken inside. I set it on the counter and then my fiancé pointed out that the gnome on the back of this one was cracked as well and barley hanging. I picked it up to look closer and the gnome broke the rest of the way. I wasn’t even rough with it! Definitely wouldn’t last in Oregon weather.

The Garden Gnome Dinosaur and Gnomes Garden Decor is very detailed, has an almost silver robotic toy Dinosaur look. I placed the Dinosaur and Gnome Garden decor in a place that gets good sunlight, the solar panel charged the internal battery, and at nighttime the dinosaur eyes light up. The enjoy staring at the statue, I placed it in my fairy and gnome garden, the statue is quite big compared to some of the other Garden decor I have, the gnomes joyfully, and care freely are hanging up to the dinosaur, with many of their back sides showing for an added comedic relief when admiring the statue.

This Gnomes Riding Dinosaur Statue from UDDDSR certainly adds whimsy to our front garden. However, due to the alignment of our home and the placement of the garden, it's not getting full sun reliably. In investigating why the dinosaur's eyes weren't lighting up as expected, I gave the piece a thorough going over. After examining the construction and the charging assembly, I couldn't find anything that was malfunctioning and determined that it was a sun supply issue. But, in the process of going over the statue, the craftmanship and assembly come across as really poor. Hot glue is used to place the eye lamp assemblies, the solar panel, and the charging pack insert, and it appears to have been applied in a tremendous hurry as there were a few spots with no visible sealing and a number of spots with very visible blobs of glue. The statue balances on its feet but only barely as the bottom isn't completely level, something that also could have probably been improved if the charging/battery pack insert that's located there had been more flush when the hot glue cooled. At some point, I might end up having to disassemble and reassemble the statue with better glue and added sealant. We'll see how it stands up to outdoor exposure this winter and spring. Hopefully getting wet won't compromise whatever materials it's constructed of and painted with.While the subject whimsy factor is high and the painted details are fairly good (thus the four stars overall), the other quality issues with assembly and sealing make me wonder how good of a deal it is for the price. I would have expected far better finishing for what's being asked. In reality, it's a three-and-a-half-star item at best. But I rounded up to four stars because the premise of a bunch of garden gnomes trying to ride a dinosaur that looks like something a prehistoric Bart Simpson would have ridden to school is just too darn cute!

Was excited to give this to my husband for his birthday but when he opened it the gnome being held by the dinosaurs was broken off. Had to super glue him back together.
