I have tried acrylic and cork to replace the felt stock mat with varying results. This one, is on another level. It has really brought out subtleties and balancing out the highs and lows. It looks great, and is highly recommended for sturdy, we'll balanced play! (Lp120xusb with microline). Get it. Don't wait!

The rubber mat tightens up the bass by a few dbs and adds some heft to the bottom end and musical notes such as piano notes at the expense of some airiness and transparency at the high ends and a little reduction in the sound stage. It is a good trade off for my speakers (B&W 705's) which are very airy and transparent but lacking some bottom end heft. To be honest, the ratings should be 4-1/2 due to this compromise but I gave it a 5 stars due to its complementary contribution to the musical presentation of my speakers. You may want a different type of turntable platter mat if your speakers tend to be heavy at the low end with less airiness and transparency at then high end.

Thought this might be too thick for my P3 on which the cartridge was already running quite low. However it worka great and sounds awesome

Stays put on platter, vinyl does not slip, a big improvement over my felt mat.

my turntable came with a 2.5 mm thick felt pad which attracted dust like a magnet. i had a difficult time finding something in that exact thickness, which is what is recommended. tried an acrylic platter, but that came slightly warped. this did the trick and feels sturdy enough that i don't foresee needing to replace it any time soon.

It's a very nice mat and really grips the records. Its flexible and easy to clean. Only down side I see is that it super thin in the 7" circle in the center. I know having an indent there helps with grabbing 45s, but I could be a bit thicker.

I used it to replace vintage turntable mat which had gone dry & brittle.Flexible & a good fit. Good value for the money (at today's prices).

The media could not be loaded. Was concerned that the hard surface of the Fluance TT could damage a record when in motion. Decided a platter mat would offer good protection. Bought this mat as it is a Fluance product. Fits flat to the platter surface and provide a secure surface for my vinyl collection when playing or cleaning. Happy with purchase.

Compared to my previous felt matt, This rubber matt is a vast improvement, didn't think it would make much difference so held off buying one. Technics ship some of there high end turntables with rubber matts like the one above for a reason. It's easy to keep clean and there's noticeably less static but most of all improved sound.

I have an Audio Technica LP-120 and the Fluance Turntable Platter Mat fits my platter perfectly. It looks great as well as improves the sound because the record sits snuggly and it reduces static, I'm no longer afraid to touch the tone arm after a play, ouch! I would recommend this item and will purchase again.

It sits well on Technics SL1210Mk7 platter.

Had a fibre mat that was a static magnet, this has eliminated the static pops and crackles and being a bit heavier reduces any noise from the platter itself. For me it works great.
