Product description Royal Icing Recipe You'll Need 1 cup Meringue Powder Mix 1/2 cup water 3 cups powdered sugar Water (tsp at a time) The ABCs of Making Meringue A. Use a glass or metal bowl. Ensure it is very clean and dry with no oil residue. B. Basic Recipe: Combine 1/2 cup water and 1 cup mix C. Whip using countertop mixer with whisk attachment for 9-12 minutes until there are stiff peaks. Scrape bowl as needed, do not overbeat. Stop at stiff peaks. Directions Follow ABCs of meringue above. Gradually add 16 oz (3 cups) of powdered sugar. Mix on low just until incorporated (this prevents air bubbles), then use a spoon to continue mixing. Super easy to customize colors- for anyone looking to do natural coloring, here’s what I did! Blueberry juice (microwave frozen blueberries with a little water, mash, strain) for purple (add a teeny bit of baking soda to the blueberry juice for blue or a bit of lemon juice for pink), rose and beet powders and tart cherry juice for pink and red, matcha powder for green, cocoa powder and vanilla for brown, orange juice and a tiny sprinkle of turmeric for yellow, and a single drop of the blue (made from the blueberries) to brighten the white. The icing hardens up really nicely and is a great texture for eating and looking. The mix alone with water tastes nice too! I used milk in my white icing and it turned out well.

I am super impressed with this mix! I love the simple, clean ingredients, especially because every royal icing is full of crap in stores. Super easy to customize colors- for anyone looking to do natural coloring, here’s what I did! Blueberry juice (microwave frozen blueberries with a little water, mash, strain) for purple (add a teeny bit of baking soda to the blueberry juice for blue or a bit of lemon juice for pink), rose and beet powders and tart cherry juice for pink and red, matcha powder for green, cocoa powder and vanilla for brown, orange juice and a tiny sprinkle of turmeric for yellow, and a single drop of the blue (made from the blueberries) to brighten the white. The icing hardens up really nicely and is a great texture for eating and looking. The mix alone with water tastes nice too! I used milk in my white icing and it turned out well.

This royal icing is very good quality, good ingredients. The texture is great and is easy to mix up. I think it is too expensive though. I am going to try other brands but this one seems to have the best ingredients.
