Just as I hoped it would be.
Having had Panasonic tvs before I was confident this would meet my expectations, and it did. Particularly pleased with sound quality.

Decent picture but that's about it.
After you'd turned off all the 'picture improvement' settings that are 'on' as defult out of the box, it gives a decent enough picture, but other than that there's not much to recommend it. The user interface seems very outdated - slow, unintuitive, hard to find the settings your looking for (that initial setup period, where you play around with the settings to try to get a decent picture, will make your blood boil). After that, it's got some really annoying 'features' that you can't turn off, and some bugs that apparently no-one at Panasonic wants to fix. Every time you change channel, you have to suffer a banner across the top of the screen that gives you suggestions of other things you might want to watch. You can shorten the time before this banner disappears, but even on the shortest setting it stays there for about 10 seconds, taking up the top fifth of the screen. You can press 'Exit' to get rid of it, or you can disconnect the set from the internet altogether and it won't appear at all, but come on, give us an option to connect the set to the internet and not have this banner appear. And on the subject of connecting to the internet, the other really annoying quirk is that even when the set is connected to the internet, you won't always get the option to stream/pull video from your home network. Sometimes the option will be there, but more often than not it just won't, and the only way to get it back is to unplug the power cable from the back of the set, wait a few seconds and then plug it back in. That gets old really quickly. The remote control also lacks some basic functionality. For example, there's a button on the remote that you can supposedly - according to the instruction booklet, at least - make a shortcut to, for example, one of the apps, for example iPlayer or - when it works, which it probably won't - Home Network video sharing. Supposedly you just hold the button for a few seconds while you're on your desired app/input/whatever, and that saves the shortcut to the button. Nope, doesn't work; the button always and only takes you to YouTube. My previous TV was a Panasonic, and ok, it was more expensive than this one (even though it was a smaller screen), but it at least worked as it was supposed to, with no annoying quirks or bugs like this one has.So, looks like Panasonic is now just one of the many manufacturers who has raced to the bottom and just builds em cheap and hopes to sell them in volume. I suppose that's just how the market is these days. Ah well.

For the price a high quality 4k tv
Very impressed with the television, very small surround and excellent picture quality. The onscreen controls with the remote are easy to use (ie easy to change the source. I still have vhs and dvd players which require a scart socket on the tv, however a simple dongle for about £6 from Amazon worked with no hassle) there are a good number of usb sockets available. I also found the remote one of the easiest to use as well. The tv is very light and the stand is very stable, which i did not expect (my last 32inch had to be wall mounted). With a wireless keyboard and mouse it is easy to surf on the net.Would have given 5 stars apart from one niggle is that Panasonic have put the tv controls on one button, ie; the on/off switch also control's the picture, source and controls without using the remote - which makes switching on and off a pain, however considering the price and overall quality I can learn to live with that (usually on stand bye anyway). If money is a bit tight and you want high quality 4k television i do recommend this model.

Reasonable basic 4K tv.
This is my 4th Panasonic and unfortunately ranks equal 3rd on my list. It is generally acceptable for day-to-day tv watching but has a couple of what I would call very annoying tricks.Firstly when using the EPG (on screen guide) all sound and picture from the channel you are watching is cut off. I like to be able to at least carry on listening to, if not watching the current programme whilst scrolling through the EPG.Second, switching subtitles on & off is not one button press, it's five, using three different buttons!Third, Using the fiddley joystick thing to switch off the set fully, actually doesn't. It puts it into something call a "hard standby" The only way to switch of fully is to unplug it.There are a few more things but that'll do.....

That it wasn't broken
The TV would be excellent if it didn't have a big footprint on the box and the screen all smashed in upon delivery😡
