The first one held up over three years, but it doesn’t work with my truck so a new box is needed. The welds look good, the finish paint is flawless and the top lit closes with a beautiful β€œclick”. The install was straight forward. I’ve owned other tool boxes in the past and nothing compares to Weather Guard, at least at this price point.I read a lot of the reviews before I bought this because I had one big reservation. It was the delivery. My last box (NOT this one) took three deliveries to arrive undamaged. On the third try, the UPS driver just hung out until I inspected it. We had a good laugh about it, but he was tired of coming back two days later to pick up a damaged truck box. I’m glad to say that Weather Guard and Amazon have figured it out since then. This box had better damage protection and the shipping was not with UPS. Boom...no damage. I sincerely hope you get the same experience, but you never know....so be ready to play the β€œReturn and send me another” game. This is just one of those large, heavy items that gets kicked around in the back of a delivery truck.There is also a review here from a user that says any WG key can unlock their boxes. I confirmed that the keys from my other WG box were different, then tried them in each box. Neither could unlock or lock the wrong box. Also have a friend that sells truck accessories and Weatherguard was recommended highly. So long story short I bought the box from amazon knowing full well that I may end up with shipping damage as other reviewers have experienced. I bought the box on a Sunday and it arrived Wednesday morning. I unpacked and examined it and there were two very small dents but honestly nothing that affected functionality and honestly you can't even see them at all. One I did not even notice until it was mounted on the truck. I had everything mounted up by myself from start to finish in about half an hour after work. Great looking box and now all of my trailer, boat equipment, chains, straps, jumper cables, tools and all other misc. bulls*** now has a protected home. I had some neoprene non slip liner material I put in the bottom and after driving back and forth to work a few times nothing has moved at all. Does not affect visibility all that much but with my tinted windows in some light I can't see out of my back window really anyway so it did not affect me. Great buy and I would do it again in a heartbeat. One other thing I might note is that with my crew cab short bed the front of the box rests slightly on the wheel well but it is still very level and mounted down tightly it's not going anywhere. Thanks again Amazon and Weatherguard. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Great Choice *by S***Z on Reviewed in the United States on May 8, 2017* I am a Class A general contractor and I purchased the Weather Guard 127502 Black Aluminum Saddle Box after searching through many options at varying price points. This was on the higher end but the features seemed worth it.The first one I ordered came with large dents and scratches on all 4 long sides. The seller was very responsive and set up a return and replacement immediately upon receiving pictures of the damage they requested. the second one came perfect.The box came with the mounting hardware, 2 keys, a removable tray bed rail protectors, and a removable divided clear storage box.The installation was very easy and only took about 15 minutes. I choose to upgrade the bed rail protectors to high density weather stripping foam. After installation I add a piece of 1" angle aluminum to the rear of the box with double sided tape and weather stripping to make the back water tight against the bed. It worked great. The first time I washed the truck with the box installed, I used a 2000psi pressure washer. Even with that much water the weather stripping around the box lid didn't leak. To be fair, I didn't try to make it leak. I just put out a lot of volume and pressure. I cant imagine rain will ever get in after that. The latches for the lid catch and lock the lid firmly into place with little to no movement once closed and little effort to push it down.
