Sits in the attic - have brewed a full bucket of mead, cider and then another mead - all keeping the lees (yeasty residue at the bottom) in there the whole time since the start... Though will now replace that on the next batch! to ensure no greater risk of contamination. Lid comes off nicely if you're strong! It needs to stay quite tight so that's OK.
