We need it for a sterile dressing.** A: Jg, let me describe what is pictured. This is a product I use. The Cavilin barrier film is a solution of 1.0 ml that comes on a very small pad. This pad is about 1 inch by 1 inch and is sealed in a packet of the same size. Thirty of these packets come in the box you see pictured. You simply open a small packet and apply the solution by wiping. Therefore, you will see the cavillon worded this way: cavillon barrier film 1.0ml. Someplace it will indicate number per box. I have always found it to be 30 1.0ml pads per box at between 20$ to 23$ per box of 30. As far as I know the only other way this topical solution is offered is in free liguid form from a small bottle. I have never used this way. **Q: Does this film interfere ECG?** A: I am not sure, if you are asking about leads for the ECG or something else. I had an ECG and it worked fine, if that is what you’re asking. They are no-sting, which I noticed with other brands don't seem to work as well as the regular ones containing alcohol, but these work better for me than even the regular ones by other brands. Be prepared with wet wipes nearby because they are very sticky and you will need to wipe your fingers before handling any of your other supplies. I use them with ostomy bag. My output is very watery and makes it difficult for my supplies to stick to me for long. These did help with that but, more importantly, this product protected my skin very, very well even when I had leaks that I wasn't able to change right away and the output sat against my skin for several hours. I expected very open, raw, sore skin and was happily surprised to find my skin in good condition. My bigger problem was open and sore skin from having to change my supplies frequently ... like super gluing stuff to my skin and then ripping it off again over and over. These wipes did not burn at all and protected my skin well enough that it helped my skin heal when I could go a day or two without having to change my stuff because of leaks.
