I honestly don't know if I'm using this thing 100% correctly. But I've used this to spool multiple reels and I have not had any issues with a rats nest on casting or any other usage really. The price was good and its pretty easy to use. The little elastic bands that go around the spool of line do a pretty great job at keeping tension. I would recommend for those that want easily spool their own reels without having to get too creative.

Product works great - Delivered package looked like it was run over
I'll get this out of the way, the product works well and you can line up a spool anyplace anytime easily. It is however way over priced, it's $15 CDN maybe at best but a great idea and system, if it was $15 I'd probably buy a few just to have on hand on the boat and with my boys and at home. Now for the delivery, I am getting sick and tired of these terrible delivery guys delivering products that look like they were run over by a car. The product showed up in complete shambles like a car tire ran it over, I may still return this. I suspect someone ran it over when they spread out their deliveries at the local Walmart earlier today but this happens at least once a week now with products being delivered in such bad shape.

Better than nothin
I like KastKings innovative products and I like this spooler tool. Good for respooling on the couch and watching hot tuna action videos. It’s not the bees knees of spoolers but it gets the job done. Bought this to throw in the travel fishing bag and since it’s compact it’s just perfect for respooling on the go. It might not be perfect but it’s definitely better than nothing. Happiness is a product of reasonable expectations and if you have reasonable expectations, I think you’ll be reasonably pleased with this spooler. My advice is skip the included instructions and just YouTube the spooler video. Might save some head scratching. Other than that, it’s very simple. My only disappointment was that it doesn’t come in some cheap nylon pouch. I recommend you at least pop it in a gallon size ziplock after use so you don’t misplaced the money Pieces. That would be the tension bands. Pretty much useless without them. Only way I think this model could be better is if they used recycled ocean plastic to manufacture it. Hint hint! Save the planet, go fishing. Bring your kids
