This is the third edition, with added material, of The Intuitive Way. A renowned intuitive and visionary shows you how to know what you need to know just when you need to know it. Intuition is not a rare gift that only a gifted few possess but an innate human capacity that can be enhanced and developed. Synthesizing insights from psychology, East- West philosophy, religion, metaphysics, and business, this hands-on workbook in the tradition of Julia Cameron's The Artist's Way, can teach anyone to achieve a heightened state of perceptual vitality and integrate it into daily life. Intuition, writes Penney Peirce, is "not the opposite of logic," but rather "a comprehensive way of knowing life that includes both left-brain analytical thinking and right-brain communication states." On a practical level, intuition enables us to learn faster and make quicker, more inspired decisions. On a deeper level, it "is a powerful tool that can heal the painful split we all feel between our earthly, mundane selves and our divine, eternal selves." Widely praised in its earlier editions, this new edition of The Intuitive Way, with a Foreword by Carol Adrienne, will introduce Penney Peirce's pioneering work to a whole new readership. Review: cannot recommend highly enough ! - This is a guide, meaning, there are exercises and prompts Absolutely worth the time and effort you put in There are so many books re: intuitive and psychic or psi development. there are books on wicca, witchcraft and ritual, yogic traditions, astral travel, meditations, mystery schools, esoteric this and that. because of a profound respect and love for all things possible, I've read tons. the Intuitive Way is one of two manuals I've read that absolutely makes sense on every level. It is practical, clearly written, and offers easy-to-understand explanations of how the world and our minds work. not the standard, no offense, new age or niche offerings. The Guide covers the basics on energy and form, how World View shapes our perception and what we manifest, how we can increase awareness of our daily thought patterns and choices, and so on. What is continually revealed is that it actually takes a great deal of energy/effort to buy into illusions of separation (from all that is). Being intuitive and accessing different levels of consciousness is actually our natural state. As a creation of the universe that is constantly creating, we are invited to return to the stream of consciousness, to be and create. This is written for folks who appreciate (the possibility of) subtle realities and are curious about reclaiming their intuition and perceptual capacities. It's not authored by someone who remained "psychically" awake since birth. We are all born intuitive, in different ways, tho many of us learned to shut down perception for a number of different reasons. I'm one of those folks who switched off and am now coming back online. While working into the 2nd chapter, i had the opportunity to set a session with Penney Peirce. She is absolutely the real deal. As with the many books I've read, I've also collaborated/worked with a number of reputable, potent, and thoughtful seers. Of the many folks I've consulted over the years, for my own healing and professional practice, Penney is outstanding. It is obvious that she has access to many dimensions of information - and of all that she intuits, she offers what is appropriate and most helpful in the moment. it's obvious that she writes, consults and teaches because she cares deeply. not because she is interested in a following or to turn a profit. this is pretty major, considering the booming business of 'spiritual' self-help. it seems that much today is a commodification of "being." This Guide is an invitation to Being. Not via high cost seminars or products, but through a daily, creative process of self-discovery and observation. i look forward to the exercises and actually engage the suggestions full-tilt, even tho i tend to color outside the lines and am usually less interested in following instructions. within the recommendations and tips there's room to play, many ideas of how to be in the present moment and make the process personal. in the journal i started with this book, i've begun drawing images before answering the questions. its such a pleasure watching the mind reveal itself, an image and word at a time. The Intuitive Way is a tremendously generous source of integrity and guidance. A fantastic book that wonderfully reflects it's author intention. Review: The Powerful Way - "The Intuitive Way,": The Definitive Guide to Increasing Your Awareness" is a very helpful and engaging book on essential steps to take in increasing your intuition. The following are some great insights that the author Penney Peirce shares on how to being in tapping into your wisdom from within: 1) The benefits of active intuition (on page xxiii): Vital information is giving on some of the benefits of an active intuition such as exciting ones such as your creativity and imagination are going to increase. She also mentions how intuition helps with experiencing more grace, synchronicity, miracles, and good luck. I am told frequently in my life how lucky I am, and reading about the link between intuition and good luck in the book was a healing discovery. I say this because it made me even more aware of the mechanics behind how intuition and good luck is available to people from all walks of life. 2) Keep a Journal (page xxxiv): Exciting details are given on why it is good to keep an intuition diary, and suggestions on how to begin such an exploratory diary. 3) How Intuition Comes In (page 12): There are very vivid details given on the channels that your personal intuition makes its way to you. The exercise that goes along with it makes me think in a more expansive way on how I receive my messages, and helps me understand why I love music. 4) How Information Emerges (page 113): There is information listed on how information is processed through your brain, and ways to maximize this advantage when increasing intuition. 5) Harnessing Dreams and Imagination (pg. 123): Penney gives compelling reasons on why it is important to trust the power of your imagination. I like the story that she used to illustrate this with the musical dreams that one of her clients had. This resonated with me because my awareness spontaneously opened up on paying more attention to the musical dreams that I frequently have. 6) Obtaining Superconscious Guidance (page 149): There is writing on how to go within yourself for answers. The interesting and helpful information on how to improve your self-guidance is very empowering. She generously shares gems such as gleaning wisdom from dreams and working with your "spiritual council". 7) Applying Intuition in Everyday Life (page 169): There is some unique writings included on intuitive life skills involving matters such as how to achieve congruent communication. 8) The Ethics of Intuition (page 208): I found this extremely insightful and helpful that this section was put in there because the principles shared are ones that only bring harmony such as the example of the principle where she emphasizes to always ask permission to help others or to look into their private lives. There are other good principles that Penney also lists that must be honored in following the ethics of intuition. I also am glad that Penney shared some common scenarios that can happen the moment that you set your intention to increase your intuition. The information contained in "The Intuitive Way" is very soul-nourishing book because it gives information on how to access and increase your intuition as well increasing your ability to believe in the answers that come from within your spirit. Overall, "The Intuitive Way" is a joyful book to get for anyone who intends to increase their intuition.

A good fit for my journey (literally and figuratively)...
I drove 12 hours to get to my Christmas and I listened to this book in its entirety, but I spent the whole time saying things like, "uh-huh, yup, that's me", and I realized that I listened only for the sake of validation. I listened to it again on the return journey with a more studious ear and I learned a lot; I really like practical, nuts 'n bolts guidance, and this book has plenty of that. My guts tell me that intuition is something we all tap into in inherently personal ways, so intuition will always be its own best teacher, but this book and its exercises do a great job of encouraging "subtle thinking", and I have no qualms recommending it as a legitimate tool in the toolkit of anyone seeking meaningful self-awareness. Insight, at its essence, is that which applies to all of us equally, but if you're anything like me then you were raised to believe that men aren't nearly as insightful, so what does your intuition have to say about THAT adulteration? To adulterate is to render something cheaper in quality, which is important to remember because there is a child inside you, and a mother and a Father, and the name of your inner family is EMPATHY, but if the heart of your family is public property then you are committing adultery and your empathic ability will atrophy. I'm not here to argue with your social conditioning but I can tell you with certainty that a humbled respect for masculinity is vital to the integrity of your empathy. The opposite of integrity is adultery, and staking a claim on sacred things and rendering them cheaper in quality is the tyranny of modern immaturity, but don't take my word for it, ask the evidence of your eyes and the testimony of your heart. If you're anything like me then you were raised to believe that empathy is some squishy feel-good thing, but when you take your own responsibility and bear the weight of ALL of human nature, you too will see that the world is asleep and dreaming about adultery. Making connections is the job of our EMPATHY, breaking connections and undermining integrity and consuming everything is the job of ENTROPY, and the weakest link in the chain is our VANITY, who paints a pretty face on APATHY. A home with a heart is led by Integrity, and Chastity is another word for Faith in Masculinity ...what does YOUR intuition say is most lacking in our modern society? A home without a heart is dependent upon society for its thinking; did you notice that it's now all but illegal to discriminate against Vanity? and ironically, stern discernment is the newborn student of Integrity. Empathy IS Integrity, and the natural purpose of Integrity is to set the future free from the tyranny of human immaturity, and this is me trying to spank you in the mind before you take another bite out of apathy. Chastity is the sacred art of keeping sacred things from becoming public property, and every child needs a good mommy who KNOWS what it means to nurture Integrity. The Universal Principles that apply to all of us equally REQUIRE the empathy of the Whole Human Being in order to glean where we've already been as a conscious species. Empathy IS integrity, and to deprive Mankind of its integrity is a vain ambition ...who is more ignorant: the communicator or the listener who fails to grasp what's been revealed? There is a child inside me, and a mother and a Father; head heart and soul working in harmony. Peace-of-mind is the tapestry of my Country which is where I see the deeper Truth of things hidden beneath what they appear to be, and there I've made a trusted friend of Irony who gave me perfect proof that solitude is indeed the very seed of gratitude. There is a loving family inside me but it's not ME that I hope you see in the mirror of our SHARED human story ...don't you recognize me?

Enlightening, yet easy to read
Opens up doors to a whole new world. Or to be more precise, opens doors to a world that has always been there but most of us are too busy, stubborn or blind to see it and too afraid to walk through it. Having said that, this is the perfect guide to take with you for finding those doors and walking to a great adventure.

Nice
Nice. Taking some effort to get into these books. A lot of information but feels a little overloaded for me at moment. Have to come back to it when I have more capacity to engage.

The intuitive way
Even though I am only to chapter 4 so far,I find this an extraordinary book. It is a work book with exercises and things to apply in everyday life. It has already made a huge difference. I feel so much better and my outlook on life has changed. I was a bit worried that this might be one of these " mambo jumbo voodoo"books.... Nothing of that sort. She is very scientific and logical widely quoting from up to date psychology etc. very well written it makes an interesting and educational read with very practical easy to follow instructions.

This Intrigues Me
I bought this and Frequency: The Power of Personal Vibration. I will basically review both books in one here. They are both interesting and I believe I understand the overall concepts. Thoughts create perception and perception is reality. How an individual looks at the world determines greatly his/her emotional status. I believe in intuition but can it be improved through some sort of training? Do our bodies really speak to us on a deep intellectual level? Are the body and mind one entity and are we one with everything in the universe? It is interesting because conventional scientists and fundamentalist religion have taught us how to separate ourselves. These 2 books introduce concepts and ideas which are above my current level of understanding but I give them 5 stars because the books are entertaining and arouse my curiosity. One should always have more questions than answers for this keeps the mind strong.

didn't read
It gets 1 star because it is unlucky: fell asleep when trying to read.

perfect.
This book is about you. It's focus is intuitive enhancement and consciousness development... You can't have one without the other, and clearly this author is highly aware of this. The best book on intuitive instruction I have come across thus far. It is written in a very selfless way. Whereas many other authors (that I have found) on this topic, will transcript en masse about their successes and leave little space for instruction. That does not happen here- I am very pleased.
