How does the dictionary work?

For languages other than Chinese, the device needs a wifi connection to recognize and translate other languages. I've used the NEWYES for English, Malay (it says "Malaysian" but should read "Malay"), Indonesian, Tagalog, French, German, Portuguese. It even did reasonable reading and translation into English from 6th century BC Greek!
