Q: ok this will sound stupid. sorry. how do I measure to see what size i need? I haven't owned jeans for 25 years.

No question is stupid! Ok so waist size is in inches I'm a 36inch waist but the pants shrink in the dryer, I'm a 34inch length but jeans are cut long now. So I got a 38"X30" The waist is easy to measure just simply measure around where yourself where your belt goes on you. The length is the inseam from where your legs meet to right above your heal... Cheers

My husband has thick thighs also. He is 6'2 and weighs 250. He gets 38×34. They shrink a little otherwise he could go with 36×34. These pants are all he will wear to work and he's been wearing them for many years
