This product is a lifesaver. I have a portable monitor where the female mini HDMI connector broke and regressed into the body of the monitor (not good). I assumed that connecting two USBC cables from the Mac mini into the monitor would work - it didn’t. I searched for “HDMI to USBC output” in Amazon and this was the only product that met my requirements. I plugged it all in and I am happy to say I can use my monitor once again, this gadget requires extra power provided by an asditional USB cable which I think is what solved the video signal issue. Display and sound are perfect. Highly recommended this product.

After many hours of research and failed attempts to find an adapter that would enable my LG Ultrafine 4K to plug into the HDMI output of my Windows laptop, this is the only solution that has actually worked for me. I am able to run at the native screen resolution (4K), or my preferred 1920x1080 (1/4 scaling). I did have to force the laptop to output at a higher resolution, as it would max out at 1280x720 otherwise.Surprisingly I was also able to drive my Apple Studio Display 5K screen via the adapter at 2560x1440 (1/4 scaling) via a USB 4 cable.The unit does run a little hotter than expected and I would have preferred a USB C power input (rather than Micro USB), but otherwise I have no complaints and intend to purchase a spare.One little quirk is that the screen has to be connected after the adapter has been powered up. If you remove power to the adapter, the USB C has to be disconnected and then reconnected (otherwise the screen does not turn on).

Using this with an M1 Mac mini and 2 LG 24” 4K displays. I originally tried it with the thunderbolt cables that came with the displays, however this caused the display connected to thunderbolt port to flicker and display both images alternately. Doing a lot of research online I found the recommendation to use a simple usb-c cable and that solved the issue for me and it now works reliably.

This adapter is the only one I found that works for the VLINK port on the Minisforum V3, so for niche devices that take a USB C video signal that needs 5v power on it, this is your best bet.Otherwise it seems a decent quality adapter, metal casing and bradied cable. Nice solid connection on the HDMI end and the USB power in (via included short cable) clicks in securely, as does my thunderbolt 3 cable I use off towards the display end.

Bought for nreal glasses from my pc and xbox series s. Works on xbox but no sound and only 50hz. Did not work on my pc gtx 1070 i7 7700k 32gb ram and m.2 ssd. No display at all on pc and the power connector on the adapter itself is dodgy herd to get in line.

So I've ordered this to connect my Asus USB C portable screen to my company laptop through HDMI, so I can still use the only USB C on the laptop to charge it. When I tried it on the laptop, it didn't show me any life sign at all. When I tested it on my desktop PC: The screen turned on this time BUT there was no signal for the picture and also the adapter became extremely hot, like burning hot, even smelt some burnt, felt hazardous, so I rather turned it off. So after all I can see that this is not a great product at all and it's not even serving the only 1 purpose it has: to safely transfer a picture to an external USB C device while it also powers it. Avoid at any cost and please let me know if anyone knows any product which actually works for this purpose.

I got this to connect an Xbox Series S to a USB C monitor to fit in my Camper as the USB C portable monitors are lightweight and carry a low power draw for the leisure batteries.It works spot on.Tested all resolutions up to 4k 60hz and displays fine as described. Audio is carried through perfectly. The only flaw I can come up with is that the powered 5v cable going to the adaptor doesn’t allow the screen to go to full brightness but that it overcome by running another usb for power into the monitor. This is probably an issue with my screen rather than the adaptor. Either way as there aren’t very many of these adaptors available, 100% would recommend!

This adapter works well with my Xbox Series X to display on my Xreal Air 2 glasses. I haven't had any issues. You will have to switch the audio mode on your glasses to HDMI mode. There are tutorials available on how to do this if you are experiencing any audio issues.
