nice little item. looks the part and does actually make the room feel cosier. ( a real flame does that)only problem i found is that the glass does blacken and is very hard to clean. because the glass is very thin i am afraid to put to much pressure on when washing it.for the price i would have expected sometghiing a little more sturdy. definitely overpriced but apart from that i still like it.

Bought this for the garage, to take the edge off the cold whilst working.Yes, it works but it’s a very simple thing and not much can go wrong.The top glass part is fairly loose fitting and rattles about within the recess.The bottom part isn’t very solid-feeling.But yes, it does work as far as it’s a small ethanol burner.

Great value for money . Giving the home a warmth, well worth buying

Bought one and liked it and ordered a second one today with same day delivery. Both had an annoying sticker on the glass which didn't come off whole and some sticky residue was left. The base is not that sturdy nor is the metal snuffer which needs to be folded out.I did notice that the wicking material is packed differently to each other but doesn't seem to affect the burn time which lasts 50 minutes on a high flame then finally dies 10 minutes later.So tonight, i filled one with Ekofuel and the other with Maxchem. Both bio fuels had the same effect and flame height. There is a slight smell on both biofuels from the bottles but i didn't smell anything when both were lit. My carbon monoxide detectors( I have 2 in my front room 18x12) didn't show anything on the displays when both were burning at the same time. The second little tray supplied(Must remove the sticky plastic layer on both) has little effect whilst using a standard tea-light so maybe better on a taller candle.With the bio fuel, these have a relaxing dancing flame and warms the room by 2 degrees.

We have this item in the living room. If I fill this it lasts for one hour, I can fill it 5 times from a 1 litre bottle. it will take the temperature of the room up 4 degrees Fahrenheit if the doors are kept closed.

A lovely flame effect for a decent price. It's a proper live flame so once it's alight... Its hot! The black base slightly obscures the flame so as it burns down you don't get to see much of the flame. But it's still a show piece and a talking point when guests visit. No mess to clear up when it's finished. So that's a huge plus.

Looking forward to lighting look great for the money

I wasn't too kin on the design when I first got it out of the box. The glass has imperfect finish, so does the base. actually where the metal bits join there is a corner not perfectly aligned with the other side and it it was just a tad sharper it would be quite dangerous. The base is also very light compared to the glass top which doesn't feel very secure.However, I found no issues with it in practice. Easy to fire up, the glass top is just the right height compared to the flame height, the base hits up nicely and I keep it on my desk when working and when it's cold outside (I hate closing the window even when it's cold). If there is anything I don't like it's perhaps the container size, it would be nice if it could hold more fuel.
