No, the skull is not surgical steel, stainless or whatever, they are plated and the plating does not last long on the skull. As Brian Adams mentioned, mine too became a copper appearing metal after a few months. The ring is fine, skulls, NO.

They would make great nipple rings IF your nipples are on the smaller side. Mine are pierced but are bigger so they do NOT work for me. Also they are not too heavy. Hope this helps.

A 16 gauge is thinner than a 14 gauge.

the skull is good looking but it tarnish in a week i contacted the seller but it tried to find excuses i hace stainless surgical for years and never tarnish it is cheap made for you toget back to buy again
