Head Over Hooves (Boys of the Bayou Gone Wild): a hot holiday fling, small town rom com

Another fun trip to Autre, this time with a Christmas vibe!!I must admit, when we met Mr Ryan in the Hot Cakes series I wasn’t a fan of his at first…. but over time Erin has made me do a complete 180 on my feelings and I really liked him in Head Over Hooves.He’s a fixer, can’t help but step in and help kinda guy (like an Iowa Mitch Landry!!) but he’s in Autre for a little fun and time away from responsibilities and is determined to not be ‘that guy’ for the time he’s there!! Until he runs into Rory!!!!Rory Robbins, I loved her. Like Drew, she’s always there ready and willing to step in and help out, even though she’s got enough responsibilities of her own to get dealing with. The day she meets Drew she’s running around in a little dress that’s more skimpy sexy naughty elf than Santa’s little helper!!Much as Drew is looking for a quick hot hookup, the draw between them is instant but they are looking for completely different things…. Or are they?!!?Rory’s - absent until it suits him and not adverse to blackmailing his daughter to his benefit - father turns up and seriously puts a spanner in her plans for a settled life and a place in the Landry ‘family’ but for once it would appear she might not have to deal with him alone!!I loved the laughs, heat, sense of family and belonging - that always comes with a visit to Autre - and all the nonsense that ensues when the Landry’s are involved. Rory & Drew were awesome together and I’m looking forward to catching up with them - and all the other crazy Cajun’s as the series continues.Can’t wait for what Ms Nicholas has for us next!!!

I’m a sucker for a Christmas story and this one met all my Hallmark expectations. Rory and Drew are both sweet with a dose of spice. The story made me smile and laugh.

You know your in for a treat when a story has the line "I've been turned on since I saw you chasing a goat with a candy cane." Drew Ryan is the hot, dirty talking sweet farm boy I always hoped he would be. I love his a Rory's story, I devoured it in one sitting. Going back to Autre is like coming home for me, and with the added gifts of some of the Hot Cakes characters this book is the perfect holiday treat.

Head Over Hooves is the fifth book in Erin Nicholas' Boys Of The Bayou Gone Wild and is a sweet Christmas novella and is Rory and Drew's story.It's Christmas time at the Boys Of The Bayou Gone Wild and Rory has a big job ahead of her, creating Santa's Village at the animal park and she is determined to give the people of Autre the perfect Santa's Village. Of course you can't have an amazing Santa's Village without Santa's reindeers and Drew is just the guy Rory needs.Instantly sparks are flying between the pair, but Drew is only in Autre for a week and Rory's number one rule, is not to fall for somebody that is not local.However the pull is too strong to ignore and Rory decides she'd rather have a week with Drew than nothing at all."It seemed that Drew Ryan was potentially an exception to a number of rules."But neither of them could have predicted how crazy that week would be and how much closer they will be by the end of it.So what happens when Drew's week is up? A wonderful Christmas love story with all our favourite Autre cast. What could go wrong with goats and reindeer? A fabulous story wished it could have been longer.

This is the 5th book in this series and is Drew and Rory’s story. Drew has given up on love, but he is not averse to having a steamy time, and while he is out of town on business that is where he is headed. Rory has learnt the hard way by her con-artist father not to trust anyone. From the moment Drew sets eyes on Rory he is drawn to her, and just wants to become her knight in shining armour. This is a well written story which is a magical gem of a tale, which is sweet, fun, heartwarming, and with family, drama, and love, which leads to an entertaining page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I recommend.

A good storyline, very funny, with cute animals and cute kids and drama with Rory’s ex-con father turning up to cause havoc. Rory meets Drew when he delivers reindeer for the Christmas party for the children. A feel good romantic story, worth the read.
