To start, this a fantastic kit as far as the variety of tools, but I found myself wishing it had half the item count but better quality. Plenty of bits and pieces, to the point where many of them seem redundant just to up the quantity count. Most are perfectly serviceable for someone who is completely new to working on leather, but every tool seems to raise questions of how long it will last and can be frustrating to use.For example, the skiver has a nice weight, but the odd narrow blade curves a ton, and make thinning leather a chore and leave it uneven. The grooving tool has the cutter on the arm, instead of the body making it hard to control. the creaser looks solid, but actually has about 2mm of play leaving wandering lines. Some handles are laquered, some are bare wood, some are rough. etc.If I were to judge this kit on the variety of tools, it would certainly be 5 stars, as you can tell there was a ton of thought put into choosing which things to include. It certainly can get the job done, but the numerous quirks lead to some frustration.Perfect for a beginner to try a bunch of stuff out, especially if they lack ALL tools (including even a knife).

I will buy other parts I need for leather work as needed.

I wish the case they came in would of been a little bigger for organization, the tools seemed pretty crammed in, but otherwise love the selection of tools, and thread.

I haven’t used all the items yet, however they are good enough for what I require.
