Does this need any vitamin supplement? If so what brand is recommended to be given with this pellet food?

This is a great question so thank you for asking. The food (by itself) is balanced. However, the recommendation is to also include variety in the diet, like a fruit choice or a veggie choice, a fresh protein likes bugs, chicken or eggs. It is because of the addition of additional fresh foods that experts will recommend that you ALWAYS give a vitamin and calcium supplement to balance the calcium/phosphorus ratios of the fresh foods. Calcium is the critical mineral, and vitamins are needed to facilitate absorption of the calcium. Check out blueberry fortifier (available on Amazon) as a great single source vitamin, calcium, mineral supplement that tastes great.

how long does it typically take 2 gliders to finish the 1.5 lb bag?

We have 4 gliders and I mix this with a non fruity, vitamin packed one that is 1.5 lb. It lasts them about 3-4 weeks. I'm sure with only two, this one bag should last about a month or more.

Does this have calcium?

It does have calcium but doesn’t say how much I would get a calcium powder and sprinkle it on a side of fruit and veggies.

Does this cause the strong pungent smell like mealworms?

it doesn't seem to cause any smell however my suggie will not eat mealworms so I'm not sure about the smell that they leave. I'm sorry
