Downy Fabric Softener Beads, Defy Damage, Unscented, 19.5 Ounce

This stuff is real good for towels not to soft!! Keep all items soft ! It’s wonderful to used ! I would buy it again and will order more soon

First a little about me: I'm a natural fibers snob, usually don't like synthetic laundry products, and been a professional clothing designer, seamstress, and owned an alterations shop. In other words, I'm a fabric fanatic. Bought some of the scented version of this in Dollar general and was amazed at the results although I hated the synthetic scent. So when I searched for an unscented version I saw this here and bought four. I don't know how they do it, but it works wonders on both natural fibers and synthetic. The colors are noticeably richer from across the room. The improvement in the drape and hand of my clothing is quite noticeable. I upcycle a lot of used clothing from thrift stores and always wash it before I work with it. It even works on abused and mistreated fabrics. I never want to be without this stuff it's a real breakthrough product.

After a couple of uses, I really started noticing the difference. My shirts, sheets, and towels are noticeably softer and maintain this condition even when only using every few loads, so the tub can last longer than you’d think.

Seems to be protecting clothes from wear and tear. Clothes dry nice without additional softener needed. No static when taken out of dryer.

I saw Defy in a store and read the packaging and then put it back....figured it was a gimmick and a way to make money. Mysteriously it pops up on my feed and then I thought to myself, well I can't really lose, it's not going to break the bank...let's see what happens. I had a comforter cover in mind for when they delivered this. Laundry day came, I used my usual products and added a scoop of this stuff into the wash. It comes with a scoop, and if you dig around hard enough, you find it. I ran the wash, sent into the dryer and when it was all over with the comforter came out absolutely amazing. It didn't look as old as it was, didn't seem like it was abused like it had been.Figured if it worked on that, it would work on the rest of my clothes. I have to say I'm impressed by it, it's definitely not a gimmick and I add it to almost every round of laundry. Don't see the need to use it on bath towels...

I moved into an apartment that didn't have a fabric softener dispenser drawer in the washing machine I tried the Downey balls but it just made a mess and marked my clothing. Found these Defy beads and love them. Have made a huge difference to my clothing. The only issue I have is that if you use a cool/cold wash then the beads don't alway dissolve. So it helps to dissolve them in hot water and add to the drum. Overall, very pleased but wish they were a little cheaper.

That’s my favorite product for laundry. I use each time as described and keep my clothes at a great quality. My laundry after drying looks great, clothes don’t stick each other. Highly recommend!

My 83 year old parents love these. They use them on every load.

Does what it says and I keep buying.

I use it with my very few cotton shirts because cotton stretches,fades and gets fuzz balls. That's why I try to stay away from cotton, polyesters is far superior. Seems that a lot of things that I use is pulled of shelf or discontinued and can only get online.

I have hard water and since using Downey Defy everything is so much softer and fluffier ! And it doesn't bother my eczema. I'm in love with this

Haven’t been able to find the unscented version in the supermarkets and was thrilled to find it available on Amazon. The cost was even cheaper and it came with free delivery with my prime account. This product does exactly what it’s supposed to do.

This product is pretty terrible. The white granules that make up the product DO NOT dissolve in all temps as advertised. In cold or warm washes your left with a bunch on partially dissolved bits and residue on your clothing. Rather than defying damage they leave your items looking dirtier than they did when they went in. Truly terrible. Steer clear.
