Huge difference
I'm coming from an HJC full helmet made in 2010. Before you think it's old, it only has about 2300 miles on it.Fast forward to 2022, I get a new motorcycle so I got this helmet because it's carbon fiber (CF) and cheap for CF.It is noticeably lighter than my hjc which was polycarb. Not a huge difference but noticeable. What is a huge difference is the ease of riding. I almost don't feel it on. The hjc had horrible wind buffeting, enough to cause me to have to resist using my neck muscles, the faster I travelled. This one is very aerodynamic to the point that it is night and day difference. This helmet is WAY louder than my hjc though. That doesn't bother me. I like how light it is and how I can relax my neck during rides. It doesn't even resist when I turn my head while riding. With the hjc I had to be cognizant and tense my neck when looking over my shoulder. If you have doubts, this is quality. I like the CF look too. They didn't just go straight weave but made the snakeskin pattern. It's unique. Great helmet. If you are on the fence, get it.

Light weight and breathes well
Helmet has great ventilation and the carbon fiber material makes only weigh 3.2 lbs or 1450 grams, which is on the lighter side of helmets overall. The lightest ones usually don't have the flip down tinted visor so they weigh around 2.8 lbs. The helmet also has cut-outs in the inner foam that are designed to make room for a Bluetooth headset's speakers. I have a set installed and the cut outs make it so that the earphones do not in any way push up against my head to cause any discomfort. One thing that is musleading about the advertising picture is that the inner sunblocking visor is not an iridescent color like the pictures show, and neither is the outer visor. It is just a standard darkened smoked colored lense. Which is fine because it serves it purpose. But I was actually looking forward to the color in the pictures so I did buy an iridescent main visor and never even use the inner flip down one.All in all its a great helmet, especially for the price. I am not sorry I bought it, and the carbon fiber snake skin outer shell has a lot of people asking me how much I paid because they say it looks like a very expensive helmet.I almost forgot, the one issue I had was one of the sides in the front padding quick release area pulled out, and now the little metal post that is supposed to keep it connected seems too short and the mounting area in not that deep so it was easily bent out of shape and therefore became very difficult to put it back together. The area I'm talking about is marked as quick release in case if emergency. I did eventually repair it, but it seems like it's not the best design because I had to cut a longer piece of metal post to get it to stay together. Other than problem it's a decent helmet and I do recommend it to others. I paid $239 and now it's going for $289. FJB

Visor retainer broken after removing for cleaning.
Lightweight. Comfortable. Looks nice.Mine came with scratches on the internal sun visor, otherwise okay. When you close the visor by pulling down the little handle on it, which is on the left side, the right side of the visor remains open. You then have to pull down the right side from the top of the visor. Pretty bad. The design of the retainers that hold the visor on is ridiculous. Super cheap plastic. I've had this helmet for a little over a month. This is only the third time I've removed the visor for cleaning. As I released the retainer, a piece of plastic and the spring shot across the room. And that's it. Broken. $235 gone.

Foggy
I like the looks of this helmet alot and wish it was more comfortable. I followed the size chart when I chose the size and it feels extremely tight. It practically rips my ears off putting it on and taking it off. As soon as I put it on it fogs up instantly. I took it off to check the vents and even when they are all open it fogs to 0 visibility fast. I have to ride with my visor open and glasses on. When I stop at a light my glasses fog up. I think it's the chin spoiler material that forces the hot breath up to the visor. There are 2 screws in the plastic piece connected to it that I removed but it didn't seems to loosen the chin piece for removal. I stopped before I broke anything. $280 helmet should have options to remove these pieces. I live in AZ but the winter mornings are still in the 30s. It sucks riding with the cisor open because of a foggy visor.
