My brake lever would not return after squeezing. This solved the problem. Make sure you purchase the correct angle -- 90° was just what I needed. If this doesn't solve your problem, the next step is to replace the brake cable and housing.

Perfectly fine part, just not 90 degrees like it said (was more open). I bent it (with difficulty) until it was.

I purchased the Shimano Linear Pull Brake Noodle, 90 degree as a replacement for a kids size trek bike. I had not idea if it would fit but it looks like the one being replaced. The brake noodle works well, is priced right. The only negative which I cannot blame on the device is that for the bike the outer cable is too large to fix inside the upper sheath portion. This that not impaired the function of the device in my case. Would but again if needed.

Used to replace original brake noodle on old Huffy bike with V brakes. Good universal fit. When you buy these make sure you have the right bend in degrees or the cable will stick out from the bike and may snag people walking by it and present cable length issues.

I bought this as part on a complete brake upgrade. I was using Shimano V-Brakes so I used a Shimano noodle. Works great and no issues with fit. Since brakes are so important on any bike I recommend replacing your noodle and boot any time you service your brakes.

I am helping my friend to replace a totally rusted noodle and I love the pricing of this product. Went to a local bike store and they want to rip me off by selling the exact same thing BUT $5.00 each..... Anyhow, don't waste time to clean out the rust or try to repair the noodles! If you "think" you need a new one, just buy it here!

Linear pull noodles wear out eventually and need replaced. Keep a couple spare noodles in your toolbox. It is quick and easy to replace this part.
