for Springfield XD-S 9mm/.48

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I put this on my XDS. It gives the firearm a much better feel. I have a gen one and this is a big upgrade. Just be careful heating the grip it can heat to the point of getting soft if you're not careful.

Great product. Dramatically reduced the bite from the stock grip. After 200 rounds in this little .45 at the range, it starts to aggravate my hand between my thumb and index finger. Now it is very comfortable and sticky, I have a great purchase on the pistol. Went on in about 40 minutes. I used a heat gun at low temperature and went over the grip pushing it in making sure it got in between every nook and cranny. Did that about 5 or 6 times until I was happy. Highly recommend these!

Fantastic feel. I went with the rubberized grip rather than the sandpaper. I didn't dislike the feel of the stock grip on my XDS but was always curious about the Talon. Polymer grips can be a little slick. The Talon has made me feel more in control and confident in my grip than I ever have before. Install was quick and easy. Make sure to follow instructions. The fit was perfect. Some of my friends also have polymer grip guns and everyone of them bought a Talon grip after shooting my XDS at the range.

I don't usually do reviews, but I felt the need to do this one. I'm impressed and I'm not easily impressed. I was not really wanting to put anything sticky on my XDS, but with really no options for the XDS grips (besides Pachmayr... horrible reviews) I decided to try. I did look at the Hogue handall jr, but I wanted an exact fit and didn't want to modify. These Talon Grips are great! I'm horrible about putting on decals and lining everything up right and was so surprised how easy the process was to put these on my XDS. The grips are pre-cut and super simple to line up. Directions are straight forward. I cannot comment on their durability yet as I have not went to the range with them on yet. If they hold up well, I will be buying Talon Grips again. I would put pictures of it on here, but there is plenty from other reviews. Hope this helps.

Exact fit. Was worried especially with the XDs grip serations. Just follow the directions and go slow. Creates a positive non-slip surface.

Best Fitted Grips Ever. I put these grips on my XDm and my XDs. These grips are wonderful and amazing. Fit perfect on both handguns. I used rubbing alcohol to clean the grips thoroughly. Then heated the grips and the talon grips with a hair dryer, applied the grips, reheated with a hairdryer and worked the grips until they were form fitted. These grips hold up great and are really comfortable when shooting. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Just make sure the grips are cleaned thoroughly before applying the Talon Grips.

I’m very pleased with the talon grip for my XDS .45. The grip gives me that extra grip I need to really get a hold of this pistol. The instillation for this product was very simple and fast. The instructions were very easy to understand plus there are many YouTube videos on how to install the grip. I have not gotten a chance to carry this around day to day but I will up date when I have to speak on the grips durability.
