Let's talk abt this product in detail because there's so much that needs to be said abt it. Pros: 1. Lather - soft, rich, luxurious and a little goes a long way. Also, this is the softest and purest lather you'll ever experience! It lathers such that my acne doesn't hurt when I cleanse my face! 2. Fragrance - none at all - loveeeee! 3. Acne - prone skin friendly - this is surly helping clear my acne up and that's saying a lotttt! I've tried so many products but this one has been so gentle and effective for my acne combined with my other products of course. 4. Cleansing - cleanses beautifully without leaving your face stripped or tight. 5. Pump - the person who designed the bottle is a freaking genius. The pump faces upwards, so there is space for your hand - like comfortable space and the product lands only on your hands and not on the neck of the pump! I mean, this is what every company should be doing! I can't be more happier abt this design! Thank you! 6. Dry skin friendly - I have dry skin and this product is god sent! 7. Packaging - minimal but cute and the soapberry they send with it - so sweet and thoughtful! 8. Customer service - I love Amazon customer service to the moon and back and these guys come on par with that. So you can imagine! If you order from their website/on here, you're in for a beautiful customer experience from this company! Cons: 1. I need moreeeee! I can't have enough of this product and wish it came in bigger bottle sizes 2. Price - maybe pricier but if they sell bigger sizes, maybe the prices can be discounted a bit! I freaking love this company! Also have their shampoo! Couldn't be more happy with their products! This is NOT a sponsored/discounted review! I purchased these products and I'm just a happy customer! Man, I wish they had a vip club or something! This is the longest review I've written for any product! That's saying a lot!

I really am liking this face cleanser. Its a foam, but feels slick and creamy on my face. It pumps out the perfect amount of cleanser- I really like that. I apply it on dry skin, but wet my hands before I pump the cleanser into my hand. I love the light scent; its fresh- and reminds me of scents of random facials I've had in numerous spas. It washes cleanly away and isn't drying out my 51 year old skin. I like that the ingredient deck is very short and that the ingredients are natural and easy to comprehend- not long chemical words in this bottle. I like the night face cream for many of the same reasons. Its very light bodied, with a very light, clean scent. A little goes a long way. It too is slick but not greasy and my skin soaks it up quickly. I was battling really dry skin from my retin a- and the face wash and night cream turned it around within 2 nights. Now I mix the night cream with my retin a and its working well. My skin isn't dry like it used to be. For me- I'm liking the quality, the natural ingredients and the results. What I'm not crazy about is the price- I think its a bit pricey for the amount of product you receive.

I recently read about all the benefits of soapberries and after much research I found Tree to Tub. I really like their morals, their commitment to sustainability, and their eco friendliness. I love that they are fair trade, they are helping out the native people of Taiwan, and that they strive to protect the forests from commercial destruction. This is a a company I can absolutely get behind. Onto the product! The smell is very fresh and subtle. It’s a light lavender scent that smells like real flowers, not artificial at all. The face wash works really well too, I did not expect the texture! It’s not oily, it’s almost creamy? Feels really luxurious on my face and neck. Very foamy and a little goes a long way. I absolutely love it! I work outdoors all day at a nursery and often come home dusty from all the plants! This facewash definitely washed off any dirt and made my face feel clean. Bonus points for the fact that it didn’t leave me feeling dry at all. I only have two cons, and they aren’t that bad. Firstly, maybe they should take down the image that says we may get the larger size, I received the new 4 oz bottle. A little pricey for the size, but again I think it’s worth it for the product. Second and most important, I didn’t get any soapberries with my order!!! I was most excited for this part because I am a huge plant nerd and wanted to try to grow one or even just see what they look like in person. SO disappointed. Overall if you’re on the fence about this product just go for it! It’s good for your face and good for the earth.

Tree to Tub Soapberry Face Wash is a foaming cleanser that is very gentle on sensitive skin. It works well to remove oil, sunscreen, makeup, etc. and rinses totally clean. It leaves no residue behind, no fragrances, nor any irritating chemicals. It may not be the best product for dry skin because it doesn't leave anything behind and might strip too much oil from the skin. However, for normal to oily skin, it is a great product and superior to drugstore foaming cleansers.

This product has a great foam out of the dispenser and feels very soft and full on the skin as work it in. A little goes a long way, I use one to two pumps for my whole face, neck and around my ears. I like to massage it in for a minute all over especially by my oily nose and then I let it sit on my skin for another five minutes while continuing my shower or nightly routine. This product is great for letting sit since isn't super harsh and doesn't easily dry out the skin. I love the minty cool feeling, it isn't overwhelming, sometimes you don't really feel it, but I live for it along with the minty scent. It's just a really fresh feeling and smell. I've been using this for a few months now and really like how it cleanses and doesn't strip away all my skins needed oils. That being said it does clean well, and if my skin is ever feeling really cruddy I use a soft wash cloth to rub on the face wash. I've also used a few face washes I had lying around just to use them up and it's crazy the difference between how harsh they are compared to this one. The few times I used anything else my face was dry, kinda raw feeling, and got oilier quicker as the day went on. These are products I had been using before this one, and I just didn't realize the damage they were doing before since I was so used to them. My skin is definitely looking nicer, and thanking me for switching. This company is great and really glad I found it, one of my favorites.

I bought this product along with other Tree to Tub shampoo and conditioners, and while those products were easier to see benefits and results, this product is harder to review. I have naturally oily skin (and although this appears to be reviewing under their “dry skin” product, I did purchase and am reviewing the “oily skin” face wash) and have cystic acne due to PCOS. I was hoping to find a natural product that could help with the oily skin and acne as advertised, but unfortunately am unable to tie any results to this face wash. My acne and oily skin still appears to be correlated with my menstral cycle, with this product not making a difference either way. Regardess, this smells great and leaves my skin feeling very clean. I would recommend this as a replacement for regular soap, but not as an acne skincare product.

I have dry skin that's not particularly sensitive but is prone to breakouts. I've tried a LOT of face wash and skincare products over the years, this is the one I'll finally stick with. I hadn't realized what a huge difference this face wash makes until I traveled for a week recently and didn't have it with me. I used Burt's Bees Soap Bark & Chamomile Deep Cleansing Cream, which I've used before and liked, and my skin broke out terribly! When I got back home and started using this again, my skin cleared right up. I also use this cleanser on my body piercings in the shower and have never had it cause any irritation. This face wash can be more drying than some of the cream cleansers I've used, but keep in mind that plain water is also drying. My face feels a little tight after washing & patting dry with a towel, especially if I don't immediately moisturize while my skin is still damp, but nowhere near as tight (and painful!) as traditional cleansers make it. If you have dry skin definitely don't be afraid to try this, just be sure to moisturize thoroughly after using it. I gave a bottle of this to my sister, who's currently undergoing chemotherapy and has had oily skin all her life so had no idea how to handle the skin-drying effects of chemo, and it's worked great for her so far! Regarding the bottle size and price changes: I originally purchased the 6 oz bottle for $23 in February (now it's August) and am just now running out of it. The 4 oz bottle is $20, so the price reduction is not proportional to the volume reduction, BUT with the foaming pump I can use only 2 pumps to clean my face, whereas with the 6 oz bottle (which did not have a foaming pump) I need 3 pumps to clean my face. So if the volume-per-pump is the same, the 4 oz bottle should last just as long as the 6 oz bottle did. Even if it doesn't, I'll keep buying it because it's such a great product for me. I just wish they made a travel size! The 4 oz bottle is too big to take on a carry on through TSA security, and you really need the pump it comes with to dispense it properly so I can't transfer it to a travel container.
