SO greatful for the work put into making the English version of Karuta! Also inspired by the animated Chihaya Furu and even more seeing the live series, I played online Karuta and finally was like duh! Im sure they have them to buy , but was mind blown finding this one! So lovely how it packaged, broken down in both English and Japanese. I hope to share the joy with family, friends and anyone who is curious to learn of Karuta and the legacy left for the world to enjoy the poetry, art and heartfelt moments it holds.

百人一首英訳の書籍は見たことあるけど、実物カルタ版は初めて見てこわごわ購入しました。変な直訳だったら嫌だな〜とびびってましたが、ものすごく素敵な訳でびっくり。何度も改定されてるようで、著者を調べてみると、日本の古典訳のプロで何と伊勢物語の訳にも成功されている方でした。本当に日本の古典を愛してくださっている方なんですね。 デザインも、いかにもな和風ではなくオシャレで素敵です。 朗読の音声（御本人！）もダウンロードできます。

A pity that such a great idea ended in such a cheap product. The cards are too thin and flimsy and the box is cheap. I love the pictures and the translations of the poems. The idea is great. For card-lovers, the quality of both box and cards are of great importance to card- lovers.
