I bought this for my car loving son's birthday. He was absolutely thrilled and literally spends all day every day playing with it! He was specific in his wants: roads wide enough for cars to pass each other using both lanes. After reading reviews (thank you to those who posted measurements on the road width!), I ordered this rug, and the roads are perfect. I have three boys, and they all play with this rug, creating traffic jams and high speed police chases! They use matchbox/hot wheels size cars on this. They love the traffic circles, parking spaces, and airstrips. Oh, and it even has a pond for their boat! The size is awesome, nice and long, so multiple kids can play together. It works great on high pile carpet, or tile floors, leaving no damage, and not slipping around while they play. I definitely recommend this rug! Oh, for reference, my boys are 8, 6, and 4.

1-21-2026 My price for the large one was 30 bucks. Almost like the 90s but definitely super close! I’ve gone through tons of these trying find a good solid car rug and this one is it! I bought the large size and it’s perfect for a couple small town setups. Good price, doesn’t snag the cars, rolls up nice and feels like a good quality material.

Let’s be real, you get what you pay for, and thirty bucks is a good deal for this size rug. It fits well in my living room, it has a nice design, with bright colors, and the rubber backing stays in place on my carpet for the most part, but you could probably get some rug stoppers for the corners and have it stay even better. The first time I vacuumed it, about three months in, I put my vacuum on the tallest setting so it would just barely brush the fibers, and it still pulled out long strands in multiple places. I would recommend avoiding vacuums altogether. Ever since then (now owned for six months) I just brush it off with a broom occasionally, or take it outside and spray it off with a hose. I might test throwing it in my washer, and will update with what happens. Overall, still satisfied :)

Fun mat for kids. My son uses it often. I highly recommend it for kids 14 and under. It never gets old to have a town for hot wheels. Quality made and never ending fun. Encourages creativity.
