Like other reviewers, out of the box, this did NOT fit into my older TREK Multi-Track 7600. It has a 25.4 receiver tube. I had to sand off all the powder coat on the stem and lube it up with some grease to get it to fit. It was cheap enough, but if I want to use it in a taller position I'll have to use some spacers to hide the sanded aluminum or hand paint it. Other than that, the handlebar stem I bought fit fine on the top part of it and it seems to be sturdy. I haven't rode the bike yet, so we'll see.

What's this for? If you're not familiar with this, it allows you to choose from any modern handlebar stem meant for a "threadless" set-up. If you want longer, shorter, lighter, fancier, etc., you're not going to find much selection in the old one-piece gooseneck style these days. Drop one of these in place of your old stem, tighten the center bolt and play musical stems to your hearts desire. Your new set-up will be stronger, safer and - since you'll be choosing stelms from modern stock - totally cutomizable.

Perfect fit, looks good

Like others, the fit was not right. It's just-barely too wide. On my digital micrometer, it came to 22.3mm. I could probably get it to fit with some grinding or lubing it up with silicone and pounding it in with a rubber mallet. But I chose to keep it in unused condition and return it. I'm sorry that it did not fit, because otherwise the build quality seems solid (untested) and the surface is what I like for my bike's components. It's a nice looking design, for what it is. If I can't find something else that does it, I will buy this again and make it work.

APrim is not worth spending money on nothing comes on time or comes at all this order was supposed to have another item which I won't get for probably another week! Aprim app sucks.
