They simply do not read correctly. Compared this device against a regular arm cuff unit. It reads MUCH lower than the standard unit. Wasn't expecting the exact reading, but it was so far off it was not worthwhile. Rates from 119 - 140 for consecutive readings during a sitting. I usury try to do 3 or 4 reading and take the rough average. The readings seem quite off from the doctor too - both high and low.I think it is useful if knowing this and looking to get a rough idea if your blood pressure. I would not recommend if you need good precision and accuracy.
