LOW COST HIGH QUALITY
There are so many great choices these days for quality low priced video gear that it can be hard to make a decision. I just received the Colbor CL100 light, I am very impressed with the build quality and the functionality. It comes with an AC power supply, reflector, protector cover, and a case. The case is sturdy and is well padded. It is fully dimmable and with color temperature adjustment from 2700-6500K it is very versatile. The remote control is very handy and works well and I hear that they are coming out with a phone App for remote control. The remote takes two AAA batteries which are not included. There is also a channel selector so you can operate multiple lights from one control, I only have one light so I can not comment on how this works, but I assume it will be easy in the App.It has three settings for the fan Smart/Quiet/Full. The âsmartâ mode will adjust the fan when needed to cool the unit, the âquietâ mode is just slower, which is quieter, but not off as the manual states, handy for close quarter interviews. The âfullâ mode is fan on high when in Turbo/Overclock mode, I could not tell any difference in brightness in Turbo/Overclocked mode except the fan going faster. The fan is pretty quiet and exhausts straight down so it shouldnât be too much of an issue during audio capture. It has a built in umbrella holder and the universal Bowens mount for a soft box. It can be run with a V mount battery if you already have that set up. It uses GX16 3-Pin Connector. It has an effects mode with several options, it looks like this feature could be interesting to use.I got this to use as a key light for interviews as I have other less powerful lights that I can now use for fill.I feel very lucky to see these times when good quality gear is available to the average person.I am happy with my purchase and recommend the light if you need an inexpensive studio light set up.

An Affordable Powerhouse
The Colbor CL100 is a great light for the price! Compared to other lights, the body is made out of a matte plastic which makes it extremely light to carry around. I really appreciate the screw on port for the power connection as it ensures that it wonât accidentally become unplugged during use on set. The included Bowenâs mount reflector is nice but the case that comes with it is great, I do wish it didnât force you to stack everything vertically in the case but there is some good cushioning that protects everything inside. The amount of light that is produced from this is extremely impressive, especially since it produces both warm and cool bicolors. There are also a good assortment of lightning affects programmed into the light, one of my favorites things about the light is the brightness knob, its just a shame that the brightness increases in increments of 5%. The included remote is also sufficient as it does the basic setting changes, however I found that the initial setup is easy, but as the light is in use for long periods of time, the remote tends to disconnect. In the end, the light is still quite incredible for how much it cost especially compared to others on the market!

The only video light you will need!!!
I bought this light to try it out, and I can say it is one of the best purchases I have made for my wedding video business. It is easy to use, it is very bright even at 50% as you will see in the video. I was doing an interview that will be played at a wedding that is coming soon and the backyard was very dark. Thank goodness for this light as you see in the short clip of that interview. I was able to light up the backyard and record the video, ask all my questions without having to worry about the scene not being bright enough. It is an LED base light, built-in fan, dial to control all the settings and different lighting modes. I can't wait for the app to come out so that way if I forget to bring the remote control I won't have to worry I can't control all my modes and settings, especially when I set it up very high in up. The only thing I was hoping is that it had some sort of battery pack or the option of having one with a battery, that way if it is some sort of outdoor wedding or if I don't have access to electricity I can still use the battery pack and get the great lighting and brightness that it does provide.

They sent UK/CAN 220 to USA so didnât work
It was a good light until the power supply burned up. It was a 220 50hz supply and I used it on a 120 60hz outlet. They send a second unit. Same problem. I could probably find a power supply but have no idea if it will work since it uses a gx16 style plug into the light itself. Which could be an issue in the future. So I had to waste time returning both lights unfortunately :(If you get the correct power it seems like a nice little light. Quiet with a good quality light color. But canât say much more.
