Not very palatable
The ingredients list is impressive. However, thos not very palatable for my cats. I have 8 cats and only 3/8 cats will eat the food with a scoop of this in their food. 2/8 ate held of their food and 3/8 refused the food altogether. Looking at the ingredients I would suspect that it works well, but if you can't get the cats to take it it ends up being worthless. Since I make their food, I add 3 scoops into a week's worth of food, I find that anymore than that the cats start to protest the food again. At least they are getting some of it!

It smells bad and very hard to mask the flavor
Don't know if it's effective or not b/c cat won't eat it... It smells bad and very hard to mask the flavor. I've tried mixing it into very strong flavored, highly palatable food and still no luck - my cat will barely touch it.

Bad smell
It is true that it has a bad smell. I have to mix it with a bit of water and later with can food. It is a chore really but otherwise the cat will not eat it and I don't blame him. I almost gagged the first I did open it. .

How to disguise the taste of the RX Renal Feline Powder.
Yes I agree with the other reviews my kitty doesn't like the taste either but I have figured a way to give it to her as prescribe that I thought I would share. My kitty is a senior 15 yrs old so she is picky as well. I mix 1/8 of powder in about 1/2 teaspoon of Gerber's turkey baby food with a sprinkle of Forti Flora probiotic on top an no problem gone in a few seconds. It's a little more work than just putting on food but this way I am guaranteed she is taking it and also eating all her food.

Works for Archie.
Our senior cat is very fussy about food. He will eat only one flavor if a high quality brand food. Believe me, we tried them all. We feed him small quantities, 1/4 can 4x/day and put 1/2 scoop into the wet food with just a bit if water. He has never complained. He seems stronger and more active. He is 15.

I tried to mix this in my cats food also ...
I tried to mix this in my cats food also, and he would not touch it! My vet said it is favorless but my cat doesn’t think so. So it is useless😟
