Howard Leight Impact Sport Bluetooth Shooting Earmuff, Black, 21dB Noise Attenuation, Unisex-Youth/Adults

These shooting buffs are economical but very effective. I am a police officer and use them for my qualifications each year and when I shoot for fun. The microphones are great for hearing commands but do a great job of muffling the sound of the shots.

These are comfortable, compact, lightweight, and they function really well. Really great for hunting as you can have your muffs on (ready to shoot) while still hearing your surroundings. In fact they can augment your surroundings by boosting the volume to your ears! Awesome! They are just a little outdated, not having bluetooth. If they had bluetooth then they would also be great for doing work around the house.

This is my 2nd set. My first pair lasted 12 years. I upgraded the foam ear covers and it makes them even better.

If you're confused the difference between these and the other Howard Leights I was to. To answer that. These have a chargeable lithium ion battery that uses a micro usb, has Bluetooth connectivity, no exterior plugs, and has a slower microphone refresh rate. The other set uses AAA batteries, has an aux plug in, and has a faster refresh rate. For just the range and maybe hunting, these will be fine. If you want to run comms, are doing anything tactical, and possibly for hunting as well then get the other set. As far as hunting both are good it's up to you what you want. As far as the headset itself it's a huge improvement over walkers. Sound isn't as loud but the stereo sound lets you tell where a sound is coming from and I feel like these are clearer than my walkers. As far as comfort, get the gel pads. If I were to order again I'd probably buy the other set but wouldn't be angry having this set again to.

On 11/08/2023 I purchased a set of these Howard Leight Impact Sport Bluetooth 5.0 earmuffs. Initially, I was very impressed with this headset. Their function for both hearing protection (including the directional mics) and Bluetooth capability was outstanding. However, for at least a year now now, the headset will not power on unless I keep it on the charger right up until use. Furthermore, I can no longer get them to connect via Bluetooth to my phone. I've reached out to Howard Leight (Honeywell) several times over the last 1.5 months via email and phone, and I've received no response.

Didn't last long and glitchy connection to phone. Also lots of static when hear through option. I got a size medium/adult large. It pinches my ears and makes them sore after an hour of wearing them. The battery doesn't hold a charge now. Seems to be good hearing protection. I have to suggest trying a different brand.

I really like using these when mowing my yard. They last a decent amount of time considering that it’s protecting your hearing from loud noises and its playing music

Okay it has a nice gimmick of super human hearing the standard ear cushion things it come with have to be replaced from day one there crap. They really struggle on range next to a large calibre with a muzzle break you will definitely need double ear protection but all of this can be fixed rather cheaply so I still think there 5 star.

The Bluetooth functionality is what makes this hearing protection a cut above the older style of hearing protection. The rechargeable battery is another step forward in this modern era. Highly recommended.

These have been fantastic since I started using them. Great ear protection is 2nd to none and that’s exactly what these are.

The headphones are easy to connect and comfy, But they could use a pause button, AND They abruptly died at only two months old. I'm trying to warranty them through the manufacturer. Fingers crossed.

Earmuffs work great especially the Bluetooth which is a great feature but they aren't comfortable for more than 1 hour usage even with gel pads, my black round ones by Honeywell I think are much more comfortable but don't have Bluetooth, the actual audio on both are similar.
