Did not work after a month, but.....
It sat for a month doing nothing. But then I realized it wasn't near a large window, so I moved it there but not in direct sunlight, and gave it a good shake to loosen up the crystals. It is now working fine.

Doesn’t work
I purchased this for my dad who lives in Ohio for Christmas. He enjoys watching weather and nature. I thought this would be perfect. I did research and it seemed this was one of the best. I was so disappointed to find out that it doesn’t work at all. It is pretty but doesn’t change ever. My dad felt bad and didn’t tell me it didn’t work until now and unfortunately I can’t replace it now. Wish I would have done better research and gotten a quality product.

There’s nothing printed on the glass, how are you supposed to know what the crystal’s mean
I am disappointed that nothing is printed on the glass as this is a Christmas gift and it’s really stupid!!

Don’t Worry “Weather” He’ll Like It
If your guy is like my guy, gifts like sweaters and ties are simply disappointing to him. Mind you, I have bought the perfect sweater and as for neckties, my choices are legendary…at least in my mind.Recently I found the best gifts ever. This Christmas I bought him a Storm Glass Weather Predictor. A what???? I didn’t know either until I read the description and looked at the item itself. It is a very esthetic, tear shaped glass with crystals inside that denote the coming weather. You read it by seeing where the crystals are floating in the bottle. If he is a guy-scientific sort…meaning that he likes these kind of gadgets, he will be really happy to get one. No more phony smiles and thanks for (yet again) a “fabulous “ sweater. While I’m at it, your follow up gift can be the gorgeous Galileo thermometer. After that, I’m out of ideas

Doesn't predict the weather...
This is an interesting 1800s device that crystallizes based on whether the temperature is rising or the temperature is falling. Doesn't measure barometric pressure or wind direction. Inside a temperature regulated house really nothing happens .It's just an oddity, not a weather predictor.

Doesn’t work
It looks pretty but it doesn’t work. I’ve had it for three weeks and it hasn’t changed at all. I want to return it but the app won’t let me return it.
