Broil King 923610 Vertical Charcoal Cabinet Smoker, Black

Just used my new Broil King vertical charcoal smoker for the first time and I'm totally pleased. I smoked fish in the morning and chicken in the afternoon. Both were fantastic. I was also pleased at how quick the smoker cooked yet still had that deep smoky flavor and moist fall off the bone texture. Also used very little charcoal and easy to control the heat. I've had 3 charcoal and 2 propane smokers before and none were as god as this one. You get what you pay and then some with this well made product.

One of the parts in the base of my smoker was defective. When I contacted Broil King to request a replacement part, they told me that my BRAND NEW smoker, which I haven’t had for one week yet, IS NOT UNDER WARRANTY because it is a model that was made in 2022. I would have to pay full price for the replacement part, plus delivery charges. It’s not a large sum of money I’d have to pay, but IN THIS ECONOMY, every penny counts. I registered the smoker with Broil King anyway, even though I get none of the benefits from registering the smoker. So, just a word of caution. I’m looking forward to using my new, OLD smoker, once I can figure out the best way to secure it to the base, where an important screw is missing.

I have just retired my horizonal smoker after 18 yrs. I wanted to try a vertical smoker and saw this and was impressed. when trying it for the first time, I found that the temp controls will take a bit of getting used to, and the amount of charcoal needs to be adjusted. I hope it will be a good smoker. Side note, after I unboxed and assembled it, I noticed there was a dent in the top and one on the side, but not enough to go through the hassle of having to take it apart rebox and send it back.

Both doors are crooked and drag on the bottom, hinges are crap, the fire pit sucks and grate holders are junk.

Received my smoker in today 9 May 23. It came missing the 6 screws needed to put on the drip tray in the door, so I couldn't install that. Which for me I thought was a really nice feature amongst the others that validated spending more for this smoker then some other brands. It also had a superficial dent on the top hood that looked like hit happened during shipping as well as the emblem was broken off. After fully assembling the smoker I called into broil kings customer service department and Anuja B had helped me. originally I only called to see about of getting the screws sent was a possibility. She not only did that but took the time to register my smoker for me over the phone, but also with sending in photos of the dent and proof of purchase, processed a replacement for the top as well. I can't say enough about how helpful Anuja was over the phone to make sure I was fully satisfied with the smoker having only just purchased. I may update after doing a few smokes to report back on how it does it's job

Amazon Warehouse buyers beware! This is how my purchase was described "Small cosmetic Imperfection(s) on bottom or back of the item. Small cosmetic imperfection(s) on the interior of the item. Item will come in original packaging. Packaging will be damaged" See the pictures to see how it actually was. A better description would be "Large damage on top, front or sides of item. Small cosmetic Imperfection(s) on bottom or back of the item. Item will come in original packaging. Packaging will be damaged." I built the unit and did the initial "burn in" All went well. While building the unit I needed to hammer the seams to straighten them out. Will be Smoking chicken tomorrow. We will see how things go.

This smoker is AWESOME!!!! Takes very little wood to get the job done!!!

I don't like that I have to keep filling up the water pan

Awesome Smoker. I did a lot of research before buying this one. I also have a Broil King BBQ which is also great. Lots of room for your meat of whatever your smoking, easy to control temperature at a steady 225 degrees. Also i really like the fact that you can access the firebox without opening the cooking door, thus not losing much in temperature if you need to ad some charcoal . Also got free shipping which I couldn't believe due to the bulk & weight of this package. Fairly simple to put together & directions are clear. All & all if your in the market for a smoker, Buy It ! I took mine to the cottage for use at the lake , now i miss it when I'm at home. Look forward to this weekends meal.
