I hope this puts an end to the controversy. I wrote to Customer Service at YakTrax (because their own website gave no clear direction) and got the following answer: "The felt side goes upwards and the white side goes down". I immediately went to my boots and switched the insoles around because, stupid me, I thought the white side WAS felt! I'm glad the CS Rep clarified white side down. I hope they also fixed their own website to reflect this information.

Will this fit a size 14?

I am a size 12.5 and it was enough inside 2 different shoes I own. I think 14 would be too big for this.

I'm not understanding how an insole can be 5x6x12 inches. How long and wide are they at the longest and widest points? And how thick?

The actual measurements are: 4 1/2" (at widest point) x 12" long x 1/4" thick

I am a wheelchair user - will these work if I'm sitting vs moving around?

I would think so. I wear them while sitting at a desk and they help keep my feet nice and warm. They are very comfortable and much warmer than regular old insoles which I don't like at all. I have purchased several pairs of these for different shoes. I like them that much.
