I'm a bigger guy around 6'2" and wear a size 13 shoe. I got this as I rolled my ankle and tore some things in a fall several weeks ago and I needed something to help ice my ankle. ace wraps and bags of ice were cumbersome and I wanted something that was easier to put on and take off but that I could keep in my freezer without taking up a lot of space. This works pretty well for my needs however its not perfect. Being a bigger guy this barely covers my ankle and if it wasn't for that extra little flap of cold pack where the velcro attaches to the ice pack itself this would've been almost worthless for me given what I tore in rolling my ankle. the person in the picture (witht he bare foot in the icepack) is probably not bigger than a men's size 7; so if you're smaller than that it'll probably encase your foot but above that and it starts to be a little too small to fully wrap and close over itself. if you're above a 12, I'd say find a different product. The upside is the chambers are all interconnected for the most part so you can squish the gel around inside it to make sure you have enough cold in the areas you want/need it most while limiting it in the areas you don't, just move the gel before you freeze the pack (more on that later). The exception to this is the bottom piece is sewn to the upper part of the icepack and its closed off entirely. I've found even when the rest of the pack is starting to get warm, the bottom part has enough gel in it that its still cold. this is great if you have plantar pain or heel issues like tendonitis or bone spurs, but its a bit less ideal for sprains and strains. it is however enough that you don't want to try and walk with the cold pack on, if you put full pressure on it, I could easily see it popping and making a mess. I get why its sewn the way it is, but I'd almost rather see them redesign it in such a way that the seam was somewhere else or only on one side and wrapped in such a way that if you were to put weight on it the gel could squish around your foot to better protect the gelpack but also to give you more room to push the gel where you want it to be. The wrap is long enough and spandexy enough that I am able to wrap down around my foot AND around my ankle to hold the whole thing close to my skin and get the relief I'm looking for, however, the gel right out of the freezer is very stiff and will get more liquid as it warms up which sometimes means readjusting the cold pack after a few minutes to make sure its still making contact with your foot where you want it to. It is cold enough at the beginning that you will want a thin sock or something to keep it off your skin but after 5-10 minutes (about the time it needs to be repositioned) I've been stripping off the sock to get the maximum use out of this. The cold lasts about 20-30 minutes in my experience but thats more than enough for what you're supposed to be doing with RICE (you're only supposed to ice for 15-20 at a time in most cases). Bottom line, I'm happy with this product but wish it had some redesign and/or came in different sizes. I wish bottom wasn't sewn entirely shut but I do love the formfactor. It is able to completely live in my freezer without taking up a lot of room, and it certainly gets the job done.

This ice pack is great. I snapped my achilles a few years back, so when it get sore and I need to ice my ankle this fits perfectly and I don't have to worry about trying to balance an icepack on my ankle. The straps are great and it stays in place. I would highly recommend this product. It is made very well and stay cold for a while.

This thing is awesome. I have an ATFL tear and a Deltoid injury so I need to be able to ice opposite sides of my ankle and the long rectangular icepack I bought just doesn't quite cover without constantly moving back and forth to pain areas. I got this on a whim and it's perfect. The shape of it wraps around the entire ankle and heel. The gel might've settled into one side when you first receive it (as mine had) but you can squeeze it back into even distribution easily and you may need to massage the rigidity out of it after the first freeze. There's no fabric padding or anything so you'll want to put a few extra fuzzy socks on or wrap your ankle in a towel, but the 360 coverage is amazing at cooling the whole ankle area. My only criticism is that the elastic band is super stretchy so it requires care to get it looped around tightly, but this doesn't detract from it as far as I'm concerned. Recommended for any ankle or heel pain, less so for the arch or bridge of the foot.

Easy and effective. This is probably the easiest ice wrap I’ve used for my heel, plantar fasciitis pain. I used it over a sock like the instructions I’m pretty sure said to do. I threw the instructions out. The wrap is too cold to put on bare skin.
