The trick to almost all Germinating.
The first time I tried growing these I got less than 50%. I was telling my mom that I don’t think it’s the brand or quality of the product. It’s the seeds are so hard that they just don’t germinate and grow as productive as broccoli seeds for example. She tells me about this trick she saw on TikTok. That if you have really hard seeds take them and soak them in vinegar for 15 minutes before planting them. Giving them a good rinse off after soaking them. You can see in the second photo it’s abundantly growing after soaking in vinegar for 15 minutes. (I did not dilute the vinegar for soaking I used pure vinegar ) You’re welcome 😉

Good germination rate
We soak the seeds for 8-10 hours (maximum recommended), and then rinse them 3+ times a day, like when we're making coffee, doing dishes, or tidying up before bed. Very few un-sprouted seeds. Sprouts are great on sandwiches or on salads.

Delicious!
These are great! There’s so many in this bag! I’ve been growing these to put on my sandwiches. All of the seeds seem to be sprouting beautifully. We’ve already eaten the first batch I planted. I bought the mason Jared’s with vented lid to grow my second batch without soil and they are growing beautifully as well. The photo attached is on the 4th day. Very happy with this purchase.

DOESN'T SPROUT!!!!
About 1/16th of the tray actually sprouted. I followed explicit instructions THREE times and it's same. I wish I had not purchased TWO bags. Waste.

Be aware these are not organic
I bought these thinking they were organic. I typed organic alfalfa seeds in the search bar and these came up. I guess I saw the name Organo and my brain read organic. Having said that, i sprouted 2 batches before I noticed and the sprouts grew and tasted good. I wish I could return them, but they have been opened. I definitely feel like I was tricked, but ultimately it was my bad. Will toss these and buy organic.

Tasty, reliable, can grow it up into a full size beet
The media could not be loaded. Nice germination rate. They can be grown out to full size. Greens on full size beets are darker than most. Very beautiful in the garden! Some of the beets harvested are Detroit red, the deeper red hued greens are this beet.

Takes a long time to sprout, long time to grow, and hulls don't fall off without help.
Update July 2023:I couldn't bring myself to just throw these seeds away, so I did some research on beet seeds and found a strategy to combat the persistent hulls. Normally, you don't put any soil over the top of microgreen seeds after planting. But in this case, putting about 1/8" of soil over the seeds really helps to remove the hulls. As the seedlings push up through the soil, many of the hulls will naturally come off. It doesn't get all of them, but I would say that 80 to 85 percent of the hulls came off with this method. The site I found which gave this advice did say to use coir potting soil, which I didn't have. Maybe using that type of soil would strip off even more of the hulls? I will investigate and report back here.Original review:I only gave this 3 stars because my issues might not be related to this brand. It could just be a problem with beet seeds themselves. I would give beet seeds zero stars and would not purchase again. I didn't like how long it took to germinate (and lots of seeds didn't germinate), or how long these took to grow to be able to harvest. But the biggest issue was that the hulls would not fall off without assistance. And there are so many hulls that need to be twisted off before you can eat them (the hulls are pretty big). It was really frustrating and I don't want to spend so much time twisting off the hulls. I grew these twice and ended up deciding that I am done with beet seeds. I'm throwing them away. I had none of these kinds of issues with any other microgreen seeds I have purchased. I have grown radish, pea, sunflower, broccoli, arugula, buckwheat, and a salad mix. None of them held onto the hulls with a kung-fu grip like the beet seeds. Arugula is a little frustrating as it is super gelatinous, but that's another issue (I just don't soak those particular seeds).
