Perfect Fit
It was a perfect fit for 3/4 violin size, the cushion is very much extended so it's comfortable to use the violin on shoulder. Nice one!

Just what we needed
My daughter just started at a new school that required violin. We ordered this for her new violin lessons and its perfect. Makes it more comfortable when playing and also comes with the other required things for her class. Thanks for the great deal and product!

It works. Some people are dramatic and possibly uncoordinated.
What are people expecting for such a specialized but simple product? I purchased this for our son's entry-level 1/2 size violin. His instrument is rented for the year and we don't even know if he will stick with it, so I didn't want to spend a lot. The teacher sent him home with a foam block and rubber band, so this is a step up. It's sturdy enough and has a good degree of adjustability. My opinion is anyone breaking this has no idea how it should be put on and is obviously forcing it. The proper way is to set it first by eye and try to slip it on. If you're forcing it, stop and loosen it. If it's too loose and not grabbing, tighten it a bit. It should slip on with a BIT of resistance and fit snugly. Once you find the right setting, it just slips on and removes without re-adjustment. The only downside to needing one of these is most off-the-shelf violin cases have no means of storing it, so it has to be carried separately - but that's not the product's fault. For those of you outfitting your child's Stradivarius and complaining that this is plastic, maybe look into purchasing a better quality one. But for a child's basic needs, this works fine. The key is coordination and not forcing it like a gorilla. Update: Our son elected to continue with the violin (as well as drum lessons - talk about 2 different worlds). The shoulder rest is still functioning and this year his newer rented violin has room in the case for it. NOTE: I purchased this item on Amazon for full price and have no affiliation to the seller. I try to write helpful, unbiased and insightful reviews because I also read reviews prior to making my own buying decisions. I notice many reviews lack helpful information, are not well written or give poor reviews based on not reading directions, failing to read the product details prior to purchasing or someone's inexperience or lack of skill. Writing valuable reviews helps pay it forward.

Well-built and light weight
Got this for my granddaughter and it works well. Quality is excellent. Different models have different shapes, but this is the shape that works best for her. I selected this shape without knowing better and got lucky; if you like you could try talking to the school music teacher or other professional to select what works best in your case.

cheap and flimsy
Not designed for country or Bluegrass...but "pretty" addition to violin

Doesn't fit correctly. Very uncomfortable.
Does not stay put on my violin. It falls off in the midde of a song. Also, it is not comfortable.

Shoulder Rest quite suitable
The feet that attach to the violin are soft and so far after 2 days of playing are still okay and not damaging my violin. The mute and rosin are a nice addition, however I haven’t tried those. This shoulder rest is adjustable and the fine screws can be tightened, even with large fingers. Would purchase again.

Ayuda total
Es muy cómodo y una super ayuda con el Violín, evita que te lastimes y puedas tocar más libremente. El silenciador también funciona de maravilla y la brea es algo sencilla (en mi caso) puedes ocupar la de repuesto.
