I’m impressed
I just received this item and have only used it once. I’m also not one to leave reviews unless I have an extremely positive or negative experience. This thing is great. My mom recently fell and broke her ankle. All of my parents’ showers are upstairs. So I needed a quick solution for an outdoor shower for her. I saw some negative reviews and some dissing on YouTube. So I was very skeptical. So far, I’m extremely impressed. First of all, the assembly is super easy. I do recommend getting the cart for the propane tank and hanging the shower box if you don’t have a way to mount it. The low stand used for the Pro and Max would not work for the basic version. (The cart could use some design improvements). But the functionality is excellent and simple. The water gets very warm - too hot on the highest setting - and water pressure from hose line is very strong. Very happy with this purchase so far.

Great product
Needed a way to wash dogs in cold weather. This is it. Super easy to operate. Turns on and off when used. Perfect for what we needed.

Game Changer for Hunting Camp
I had an issue with my original unit and reached out to Camp Luxe customer service. After sending a quick photo and the serial number, they responded fast and promptly sent a replacement — no hassle at all. The shower itself works extremely well. It’s very easy to set up, lightweight, and truly portable. We use it at our hunting camp and it has been a total game changer. Hot water on demand in camp makes a huge difference after long days outdoors. Great product and an even better company standing behind it. Highly recommend.

Do your research before buying, but their customer service was excellent
Initially, this outdoor shower unit was amazing. I used this product in the Sierra Nevada foothills of Northern California this past fall and was extremely grateful, living off grid as I do, to have the ability to take a hot shower after a long day of working on my property. However, after about a month into using it, I noticed a bulge in the shower hose developing. The bulge grew bigger and bigger, until the hose burst. Not a big deal. I replaced the hose with another sturdier hose and thought nothing of it. Then, last week, with the first freeze, the handle burst down its seam. Again, no big deal, as I had a spare. So I replaced it and figured I was good... till I went to fire it up later that day and water started spewing out everywhere, starting from inside the unit. The water extinguished the propane and shut the unit down. I took the unit apart and assessed the damage. A brass water manifold inside had split in two places. I tried liquid weld, but that only lasted for one more shower, before the manifold cracked again. I ordered another brand and hopefully it lasts longer than this one did. Personal edit update: This company actually reached out to me, apologized for the inconvenience and sent me another unit, which in this day and age, frankly, suprised the hell out of me. The replacement machine seems to be working (though the shower handle did split down the middle on the third use which was frustrating, but fixable using another handle that i happened to have.) but time and use will tell. So a bump up and extra star added for excellent customer service. Thank you 1/6/25: Outside of the water nozzle issue previously mentioned, this unit has continued to do well and I am very pleased with its utility and ease of function.

2026 Design: Exhaust Heat Vents Directly Against Wall
This is the 3rd Camplux 1.32 gpm water heater I've purchased. The previous two were damaged in freezing conditions because I failed to drain the water-heater properly...my fault. This review is for the newest version (2026): FIRE HAZARD!!! Previous generation of this model had non-directional vents at the top of the water heater (and Camplux included a diffuser plate to further direct the exhaust heat away from the wall under a fixed-mount situation), and the fixed-mounting tabs allowed the water heater to stand-off of the wall, providing an air-gap between the wall and back plate. This current model has no stand-off when mounting it in a fixed position (significant surface contact between back plate and wall), and Camplux has added a louvered grate at the top which VENTS THE EXHAUST HEAT DIRECTLY AGAINST THE WALL. I'm a bit dumbfounded here...your design-team chooses to add a louvered grate to vent the exhaust heat. You can either direct the heat away from the wall, or you can direct the heat towards the wall. They chose to direct the heat towards the wall. This poses a significant risk of heat damage to wood, painted and/or synthetic surfaces, and presents a potential fire hazard. I will modify the top grate to reverse the direction of the louvers, but I imagine the typical customer may not otherwise expect to have to modify a brand-new water heater for it to be reasonably safe for use when mounted on a wall.

non-standard connections, otherwise very nice
UPDATE: April 2019, still going strong. I replaced the battery pack with a 3.3V power supply and added a Linemaster air pressure foot switch (item B005GRE0J4) with an Aubig pump (item B076PV2C2X) and a modified LDR shower head (item B000I1EA70) to finally get everything the way I like it. The foot switch cycles both the pump and the power supply, so the water starts and the heater fires up when you step on it. With a better hose and a check valve, and I can fully shower on less than a gallon of water (by cycling the pump only when I need water). EDIT: Seller credited me $10 to go buy a garden hose adapter, so I changed my rating from 4 to 5 stars. It seems you don't have to complain, just ask them by email to pay for the adapter they describe below. Turns on and off very quickly when water flow starts and stops, tiny cheap submersible shower pump provides plenty of pressure to fire up the burner, and there's plenty of heat for that flow rate. The shower head and hose are unbelievably cheap and you'll want to replace them if you want a shutoff valve on the handle. I use a pull-chain switch to turn my pump on and off rather than shutting off the water. The connections are all non-standard for North America! Water in, water out, LP gas - all three need washers and will leak incessantly without. You cannot put an elbow on the 1/2" gas connection because it uses British straight threads instead of the tapered NPT/MIP standard. If you need an elbow like I did you'll have to install their 3/8" flare adapter and then try to find a flare/flare elbow (Camco makes one, sold on amazon for ten bucks). The water connections do not taper and are slightly different diameters, so you have to use their adapter and then buy another adapter for the water supply. The water output may work with other shower head hoses, but won't connect to any fitting you can buy at the big box store. (I'll edit this review if someone points me to an adapter that fits properly.) Even when I challenged the seller they made it clear their "garden hose adapter" will not fit an American standard garden hose. Here's their response, which cost a star on my review: The thread of the unit is 1/2 BSP. Our garden hose is 1/2 BSP female x 3/4 NPT male and water inlet connector is 1/2 BSP female x 3/4 NPT female. You would buy a 1/2 BSP female x 3/4 GHT male/female connector for this unit if you don't use our connector. If you use our connector you would buy a 3/4 NPT male x 3/4 GHT male/female connector. NPT and GHT both are Amercian standard. We provide NPT standard for Amercian customer.

Camplux propane water heater
Works great. Read the instructions: water must be flowing for the burner to ignite. Test fired it up heats up the water fast. Nice that the burner is not on all the time, only when water is flowing.

Easy to install
Updated: It's been a week or so, and this thing is a life saver! Water is instantly hot and runs as long as you want it. Doesn't seem to have even put a dent in the propane cylinder/can supply. Put it inside a bathroom of a new house I am buying that's a fixer upper, and although it warns against carbon monoxide, BOTH the CO monitors in the bathroom are registering 0000 exposure. So far so awesome! Just got this a few hours ago, and was able to set up in less than 20 minutes and my girl and I have BOTH had amazing hot showers! So good!

Works a Treat (Marvelous company to deal with and I highly recommend)
Further to my earlier 5 Star rating....I've had the unit for just under two years and in that time I've had 2 issues that I raised with the seller. Their response has been absolutely fantastic and way beyond what one would expect given the passing of time. Each of my issues has been fully resolved with no hint of reluctance or blame shifting by them and just a genuine desire to sort the problems. I would absolutely endorse the 5 stars all over again and if there were more stars they would get them. Have only just got around to fixing up the shower after leaving it in the garage for months following a house move. Took me about a half hour to sort out the pipework, connect the gas and then run wonderful warm water. The only issue I had was worrying about over tightening the gas connection (mentioned in the instructions) but after enduring 2 leaks I took matters into my own hand and tightened it right down. (so that the inner pipe in the connecting bolt was unable to move). Absolutely brilliant bit of kit and hopefully my grubby Labradors will be less likely to bolt than when the hosepipe was brought out to wash them down. If I was still into camping I would definitely have taken this with me as the waterflow and temperature are so easily controllable.

works perfect for what I need it to
I'm happy with the product, good quality and it was easy to hook up and use. The only disappointment for me is that it doesn't heat the water very hot. I don't know if that is because I'm using well water and now (near winter) my well water is ice cold so maybe I need to give it more time to get hotter. Regardless, I'm very happy with the product and for the purpose I want to use it, having the water only slightly warm is perfect. I use it to wash my dogs feet before letting them entering the house. It will also be great to use to wash the dogs in the spring.
