WIll this work in place of using the cleaning liquid that etches the concrete?** A: This will help to strip the concrete of anything like paint and clean it really well but you still need to etch the concrete before you paint it. The pad is not aggressive enough to actually etch it. Also I would recommend power washing if it's outside before painting it this will make sure at you have a really clean concrete for the paint to adhere to. **Q: what grit sandpaper would this be equal to?.** A: I really do not know, but it’s very ruff. It does not give you that information on the paper work. I suggest call you Oreck dealer as ask. **Q: How does this compare to the brown pad? Other commerical sites sell both black and brown, and have stated brown to be more aggressive than the black.** A: My Oreck manual says Brown is the "most aggressive" but doesn't even list the Black. My local Oreck dealer says Black is more aggressive than Brown. I tried both and the Black is definitely more aggressive in looks, feel and took the old wax off quicker. **Q: I'm using this pad to clean my natural stone tiles.
