Highly recommend this kit. Grandkids loved it!

This is a really cute, high quality kit! I bought this because I wanted a space themed mobile for my son's nursery and all the ones I could find to buy were super expensive. I honestly believe this kit is on par with the quality of what you would get on Etsy for several times the price, and I liked the idea of making his mobile myself. Granted, I'm not much of a sewer, but as a former elementary school teacher, I find it a little hard to believe that a kid under 10 is able to do this on their own properly (if you care what it looks like). The thread, needle, and felt quality are all good and kid friendly, but it's a bit hard to keep the pieces together and stuff the stuffing in without pulling the threads out somewhat. I had to use my glue gun to fix a lot of them. More importantly, the stickers DO NOT adhere. I don't know if maybe I got an old kit, but virtually every single sticker (and there are a lot of them!) left the sticky backing on the sheet, so I had to use my glue gun for adding the sticker pieces, too. This was not ideal because many of the stickers are quite small and I burned myself a few times. Otherwise, this is a really adorable craft with high quality materials. I wish the stickers worked properly. Overall I still think it was a good purchase. If you're getting it for your kids, I'd expect to be pretty involved in prepping the materials and fixing issues with the sewing. Good fine motor practice, matching, and science theme makes for a nice project for little ones.

This kit is great. It comes with everything you need. The price was great. My family really enjoyed it.

The cutouts for sewing the planets, rocket ship and astronaut were cut out very well, easy to line up for beginner sewers and you just have to help them with lining up the decorative pieces to sew them on as well. Nothing too difficult for a parent to teach their child, even a novice parent.What took the longest and was such a pain was trying to get the paper off the portions that the child was supposed to stick to their sewing. Either the sticky portion would come off the felt and was not longer usable or the sticky felt was so small, it would tear when trying to remove the back paper! My children had to just draw on smiles because I couldn't get the sticky felt to work properly. Some of the large sticker felts did work, but after I spent a few minutes working each one. Very much a tedious, irritating thing to deal with, only to have those pieces fall off the sewn planets later on. Extremely frustrating.

These turn out great and are solid quality (not high end or anything, but better than I would have expected for a kids’ art kit).The directions are very, very bare bones. But if you can show kids how to thread a needle, stitch up and down, stuff through a small opening, and tie off, you’ll be fine. I had a two under 6s and an 11 yr old, none of whom had sewn anything, so it was a bit all over the place. I think by the second or third go we’ll all be good!
