Anyone find a case/bag that's a good fit for the Mini Precision Bass?

Yes, I believe it is Ibanez Strat bag at Guitar Center for around $35.00 fits perfect.

What is the scale length of this bass guitar?

28.6” per the Squier web site.

Would this bass be good for a 8 year old?

Yes, this bass has a shorter scale and smaller over all 'footprint.' However, the size and stature of the person/child playing will be a factor. Eitherway a very durable instrument that will provide years of enjoyment.
