Buy Happy Mind, Happy Life: 10 Simple Ways to Feel Great Every Day by Chatterjee, Dr Rangan (ISBN: 9780241397855) from desertcart's Book Store. Everyday low prices and free delivery on eligible orders. Review: A superb book - I had been looking forward to the arrival of my copy of Happy Mind, Happy Life, having already followed the related podcast content, and it is every bit as good as I had hoped. So much wisdom distilled into clear, practical, unpatronising language. And just so enjoyable to read! Some health books can scare you by pointing out all the hazards out there to watch out for, but Rangan’s do the opposite - they lift you up, reassure you, and make you feel everything’s going to be ok and that you have the power to make yourself feel better. Rangan’s understanding of what happiness is - and what it isn’t - makes total sense. I love the fact that he always has one eye on our evolutionary past, which informs so much of our current state of body and mind. Rangan believes that most of our ills are linked to the mismatch between our fundamental nature, honed by millions of years of evolution, and the vastly different world we now find ourselves in, and I think he’s absolutely right. He shows us what we can do to live more in tune with this fundamental nature, even in the modern world. I don’t know whether it’s the pretty pictures (they certainly help!), but, having already devoured the whole thing in one day, I can tell this is a book I’m going to be picking up again and again to refer back to. Thank you, Dr Chatterjee, for your monumental (and ever-growing) contribution to human well-being. Review: A lot to learn, and well worth reading. - This book, like all Dr Chatterjees book are an excellent read. Not to be missed, and much to be learned.

Excellent, Must read!!
I first came across Rangan by listening to several podcasts he featured on. I’m so impressed with this book and I’m only a quarter of the way through. I have other books on happiness but this is making me stop and pause, like it’s actually having an effect. The exercises dotted throughout the book are easy to implement in your life no matter what your lifestyle, and he does consider all lifestyles in this. It’s being a doctor and seeing lots of patients that allows him to do that. The style is simple, but that’s a really positive thing!! Some books on happiness can be hard work but this style makes it easier to read and take in the message with more impact, even if you only have 10 mins here and there to read. It feels like a handbook. I’m already thinking about which friends and family members I can pass this on to who would really benefit - but only if they’ll return it to me afterwards!!

Lots of useful information
Lots of information to help you focus on what is important in life and helps you to realise what isn't necessary and simplify things. It was an interesting read. Just hope i can implement some of the advice it gives.

Absolutely enjoyable book
5 stars definitely! Absolutely enjoyable book, I read it a few years ago, but the best feeling is that I do want to read it again, as I remember it as a very pleasant, soothing and relaxing read. The wish to read a book again is what makes it worth buying.

Absorbing, informative and relaxing read. This book communicates both simply and deeply at the same time. Friends I have passed it on to have found it life-changing. Well done, Dr Chatterjee!

The words are good and in an acceptable order
Hall of this book is composed of totally pointless full page colour photos of the author. No one in their right mind wants to pay a lot of money for the major part of this book which they won’t look at or at best will glance at as the pages turn. Next, a very high percentage of the half that is composed of words is written on difficult coloured paper. Usually blue with type being anything from black (almost readable) to a pale yellow or white, both of which, against a blue background, are. Very hard to read. I am not dyslexic and I have difficulty, I know that it has been found that the wrong colour typeface on a wrong colour background makes a book unreadable especially from the reader who needs sensible choices offered. So we have Half the book composed of author’s photographs and half of the remainder in difficult to read print. That leaves a QUARTER of your investment spent on something useful. I have read the book and found it interesting and helpful, but it drove up my stress levels enormously very often leaving me ‘time poor’ Reprint the tomb. It needs it, because, finally, its a badly chosen shape. A more conventional book size and shape would also make it easier to read. If you buy this book you will learn. It may be a struggle to read it, but the content is, in the main, worth the effort.

Pretty okay book about how you can coach yourself to be more aware of your way of living. And with some guidance how to improve your daily life to avoid stress and anxiety.

This a good book to start exploring some ideas about how to feel happier in a daily basis, simple but efficient ways to do so.
