Bought this kit to measure engine internals so I could set up a dial bore gauge and this kit worked out perfectly.

They came in a timely manner. Upon inspection they seem to be in pretty good shape. Test through afew and made 0 adjustments. They feel good in your hands Had to run the thymbols in-and-out for them to be smoother but they are nice. The ratchet stops on the end are nice And the lock works good Does not change the setting When it is applied.

I could measure better with a steel rule than these “ toys”. It was advertised as having a tolerance of .0001. But in fact it’s less than .001. Loose construction and will not hold adjustment. I should have known and not expected accurate readings. I accept responsibility for expecting better.

A machinist for 28 years and now retired- I sold most of my tools and measuring equipment. Needed a few things to build an engine so I decided to try these. They have all been very accurate right out of the box so far- great set for your money. Very impressed with these.

I have only used a couple of them. Measuring engine parts. Seem to be decent quality for price paid. Really nice storage case, well protected.

upon unboxing and checking with our shops calibrated standards and the standards they come with seemed about .001 variance. checked the 0-1 mic with my shops standard. when mic was closed at 0.0 it read 0.0 but when i used a 1.0 standard it read 1.001. that was my first sign of returning. my second sign was when i went to check the 4-5 mic and the 5.0 standard would not fit in the opening when it was fully dialed out. seemed about .06 off. read a previous review stating the same thing and i just thought it was a crazy review. but no i can confirm there was a mic that was sus. along with the others being too in-accurate for the use i need them for.

The first micrometer I looked at was the 5-6 inch. You should be able to measure a 6" part. The opening was .045 less than 6".Returned for refund. Amazon was great about the return!
